From the moment we stepped into the villa entry we were in awe of the beauty and attention to detail throughout the villa that made us feel as though we were in our own piece of heaven! As a family of four generations, we had lots of room for privacy if anyone wanted to retreat for an afternoon siesta. Meal times were lots of fun in the outdoor family BBQ area. The children had a wonderful time in the pool and having a pool in our own backyard meant that they were always supervised and able to swim till all hours. The kitchen and BBQ area allowed us to prepare meals at the villa so we really didn’t need to leave our lovely new home away from home. My morning walks through the tranquil gardens were a treasure and it was great to have the use of the resort facilities including the gym and guest pool. We have already recommended the villa to friends and family and look forward to returning on our next trip to Port Douglas! - Deanna

Everything was perfect! A 2 minute walk to the beach, the main shopping/eating street literally around the corner. The bed was comfy, the bathroom clean, the kitchen is simple but has everything you need to make breakfast or a simple meal. Fan/AC worked without fail and we also appreciated the fly screens on all the windows! The place has a homely feel to it, thanks to the staff which were beyond friendly and helpful and catered to our every need and request, which made us feel very welcome. - Katharina

5. 5. For the discerning, style-conscious traveller (from 178 USD)
The resort is well-located within an easy walk of 4-Mile Beach, the main strip of shops/restaurants and the marina (where all the reef tours depart from). No car is needed if staying here. Anne the owner was extremely friendly and faultless in her assistance with booking tours and general advice about the area, such as great places to eat. The pool and spa were heated and quite pleasant with plenty of shade from the hot sun. Port Douglas itself is very safe, even for a solo female to walk around after dark. There are plenty of attractions to keep you busy - it’s a gateway to the Great Barrier Reef, and day tours to the Daintree Rainforest, Cape Tribulation and Mossman Gorge (amongst others). I particularly liked the cane toad races at the Iron Bar pub in town - buy your ticket early in the day for that night. Or else you can just relax by the beach or pool - there’s something for everyone! I would definitely stay again. - Jackie
