Las Vegas is notoriously known as the destination to go to for a quick and quirky wedding ceremony. You can basically have it all: the romance, the kitsch, and the feel of traveling through all these wonderful cities that’s a few thousand miles away from where they actually are. With all these wedding chapels around, surely the city does has its own spots for romance. Here, we pick out the top 5 places to go for a romantic getaway in Las Vegas:
1. Take flight on the world’s tallest ferris wheel!
At the Linq Hotel complex, there’s a big ferris wheel that juts out – it’s called the High Roller, the world’s tallest ferris wheel that gives you a chance to view out of the glass windows and see the city (and its lights, if you’re doing the ride at night). Reaching heights higher than the London Eye & the Singapore Flyer, you’ll have a bird’s eye view of the city all to yourself & your loved one. You can arrange for a whole cabin with champagne or wine (they also have an open bar option) to celebrate your vacation or special occasion with your loved one. Best time to go is during the evening, but note that it will cost you a higher premium than a daytime flight.
2. Enjoy splendid views atop the Eiffel Tower
In Paris Hotel, you can grab a crepe and feel as if you’re in Paris. You and your loved one can also have the Eiffel Tower Experience by climbing up a half scale replica of the real Eiffel Tower in France. Choose to gaze down and watch the dancing fountains of the Bellagio from above, have dinner on the 11th floor of the Tower for the ultimate experience with your significant other. You don’t get the horrific queues as in Paris, making it a unique experience. It does get crowded in the late evening, so best to go in the early evening when queues are more manageable.
3. Ride a gondola (from USD 951)

What could be more romantic than having someone propel you on a boat through a (manmade) canal? All the time serenading you lovely Italian songs as you cuddle up under a blanket with your special someone? At the Venetian, you can do exactly that. For a small price, you can get a few minutes of looking up at the painted clouds on the ceiling, and watch the mini ripples the gondola makes underneath the boat. Pass through bridges, and feel as if it’s the same thing, and it’s indoors – so definitely no chance of rain messing up your perfect moment!

4. All you need is love

The Beatles is commonly known for their songs, but a quick show is perfect to cap off an evening with the two of you. With so many Cirque du Soleil shows to choose from, be it O, Zumanity, Love, Mystere, One, Zarkana, and Ka (to name some), as well as other live shows, you can easily hold hands with your love in the dark as you gasp and awe upon the spectacle that’s unveiling in front of you. Our best pick for the sexiest and most couple-friendly show? Zumanity. If you’re traveling with children, make sure they go to a daycare, as this show is strictly 18+ only. Once you’re done with your show, go grab dinner from one of the chef-owned restaurants like Gordon Ramsey’s Burgr, or have comfort food at Hash House a Go Go.
5. Walk down the aisle
The most romantic thing to do while in Las Vegas of course is to get married! With so many wedding chapels that are dotting the place, you can get married by Elvis, have a Star Wars themed wedding on the spot, or just drive through. If a quirky wedding is not your thing, then you can opt for a more formal experience at one of the hotel’s wedding chapels, where they offer various packages for your big day, depending on your budget (some of them include a photographer to document everything – highly recommended)! Of course, getting married in Las Vegas means getting a marriage license so apply for one at the courthouse and you’re good to go!
Las Vegas is fun for couples too
Who would have thought that Las Vegas can be dubbed as another city of love? You can even mask some of the fun attractions and make it romantic in your own way too. As long as you are with your partner, everything can be romantic, and that’s what counts the most, right?
