Austria Trend Hotel Europa Salzburg is located in the New Town in Salzburg and would appeal most to business travelers and tourists that are traveling around Europe or to cities within Austria due to its perfect location. This is because it is based directly next door to Salzburg Central Station and to the major bus stops, which means that if you want to travel from Salzburg to Vienna, Munich or Prague, you can do it at real ease due to the proximity to the major transportation links. The hotel is fantastic for those that are on the go and want to see as much as possible outside of the hotel. Please note that despite the hotel being so close to these transportation links, it is relatively quiet and noise cannot be heard/experienced from the beautiful rooms.

In addition, if you’re a tourist and you want to enjoy guided tours of Salzburg, then it’s best to be located in the New Town rather than the Old Town because all the major tour operators are in the New Town. For example, Salzburg Panorama Tours is based in the New Town and provides a number of tours including the world famous Sound of Music Tour. Salzburg Panorama Tours is only a short and straightforward walk (approximately ten minutes) from Austria Trend Hotel Europa Salzburg so the hotel truly is positioned in a fantastic spot.

Equally close by and directly opposite Salzburg Panorama Tours is the famous Mirabell Palace and Gardens where you can watch concerts and enjoy leisurely walks and picnics in the sunshine. Salzburg’s Old Town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also only approximately a fifteen minute walk from the hotel and about a five to ten minute walk from Mirabell Palace and Gardens. In the Old Town, you can visit the famous shopping street, Getreidegasse and Mozart’s birthplace as well as the beautiful Hohensalzburg Fortress. Some of these Old Town sites, including Hohensalzburg Fortress, can be enjoyed from Austria Trend Hotel Europa Salzburg’s fifteenth floor restaurant called Panorama Restaurant.

The Panorama Restaurant is open everyday except Sunday and it is the place where a daily breakfast buffet, which includes fresh fruit, croissants, pastries, bread and a few hot food options, is served. Lunch and dinner can also be served in the restaurant and dishes available are according to an a‘la carte menu.

Beautifully designed, modern and well furnished rooms

There is certainly a trend and theme amongst the rooms in Austria Trend Hotels and Austria Trend Hotel Europa Salzburg is not an exception to this trend. The hotel consists of one-hundred and three rooms and has a a wide variety of rooms available including Classic, Executive and Superior Executive rooms. With the exception of the Classic rooms, the other rooms within the hotel have been recently refurbished and are beautifully designed, modern and well furnished. As a result, I would recommend that you opt for an Executive room so that you can experience the best that Austria Trend Hotel Europa Salzburg has to offer. Please do note, however, that the Classic rooms are scheduled to be renovated in the next twelve months.

As a travel writer, I had my fingers crossed that when I made my reservation, I would be given the opportunity to have a room with a view so that I could sit and relax in my room whilst typing away about the scenery. I was very lucky because I had a room on the thirteenth floor that was overlooking the beautiful Hohensalzburg Fortress and the majestic mountains in the background. It was a real site to see and I was overjoyed that I was able to see it whilst sitting in my comfy armchair typing about my experience. So, if you want a certain type of room and with a view, make sure that you make a point of mentioning it when you’re making your reservation.

Alongside the stunning view from the room, the room was immaculate and a pleasure to rest in. The beds were firm and included soft white duvets and extra pillows too. The bathroom was very spacious and included a shower cubicle with a high-pressurized shower; environmentally friendly products were provided on a complimentary basis and a powerful hairdryer was fitted in the bathroom.

Now if you’ve stayed in an Austria Trend Hotel before, I am sure that you know that they love to provide you with sweet treats and Austria Trend Hotel Europa Salzburg certainly continues this trend. This is because upon arrival, you will find a mini platter of fruit and the famous Mirabell chocolate for your enjoyment as part of a welcome gift.

Heaven for a business traveller

As Austria Trend Hotel Europa Salzburg is based in the New Town and close to transportation links, it is no surprise that business travelers have a preference for enjoying this establishment. The Hotel has its very own business floor with three differently sized function rooms for meetings. All of the rooms are filled with natural light and air conditioning. The beautiful Panorama Restaurant on the fifteenth floor of the hotel can also be used for champagne receptions and corporate get-togethers so it’s fantastic if you’re looking for a more relaxed and informal venue to host a meeting or an event.

For business users and leisurely travelers, there is fantastic Wi-Fi of a high strength within the entire hotel, which is complimentary and easy to connect to. There is also a small lounge area with some rather grand and unique seating areas that will certainly catch your attention when you arrive. Despite the lounge being quite small, the seating areas are private and extremely comfortable. The hotel also has a small bar with black tables and chairs so that you can enjoy a cold or hot beverage whilst letting time pass. The bar area is located on the ground floor and on the side of the hotel and overlooks Salzburg Central Station (which I am sure will tell you how close it is to the hotel!). Please note that no food is served in the bar and you will only be able to have food at the Panorama Restaurant or if you order room service. In the instance that these options are not available, check-out the restaurants and supermarket within the Central Station where you can purchase snacks and drinks at an extremely reasonable price.
