Inglewood Lodge is located in Nuwara Eliya, in the Sri Lankan Hill Country. The great thing about this place is that it is halfway between Nuwara Eliya and Nanu Oya, which means that you are 4 km away from the city center but yet again 4 km closer to the train station (located in Nanu Oya). You are surrounded by beautiful scenery and it only takes a few minutes by tuk tuk to Nuwara Eliya city center. The team is happy to drive you anytime! Once the lodge is in full operation, they will also have a bike rental for the guests.
Imagine yourself in a Hercule Poirot movie
Nuwara Eliya is called the “Little England”, as in earlier days, the British and Scottish colonials came here to enjoy the cooler climates. For this reason, many of the accommodation providers also wanted to conserve the British feel of the city. Inglewood Lodge has accomplished the task excellently - if you have ever watched Hercule Poirot movies based on Agatha Christie’s books, you can easily imagine yourself in the story settings: old mansion with dimly lit hallways, rooms with cute bedside tables and night lamps, and a large common room where the guests can gather to play cards, smoke cigarettes and drink whisky (…or to hear the end of the murder mystery). Inglewood Lodge has a comfortable charm to it. Nuwara Eliya is one of the cities with the highest altitudes in Sri Lanka, so evenings can get quite chilly. But not to worry, at Inglewood Lodge, you are guaranteed to have the hottest shower of your stay in Sri Lanka!
The best restaurant in town
The chef at Inglewood Lodge really takes pride in his work - even if you stay there for as long as a week or two, you would not get tired of the same flavors. The chef uses a variety of ingredients creatively, drawing his inspiration from various cooking styles. Thus, it is highly recommended to have not only breakfast, but also dinner “at home” while you’re in Nuwara Eliya. Try the fried noodles or egg curry, or anything really!

Inglewood Lodge has an excellent team of four, who make their best effort in ensuring your stay there is as fun and enjoyable as possible. Hotel business is essentially a people business, and it is not difficult to notice when someone is doing it from the heart.
