The Atlanta Airport was created from an abandoned race car track in 1925 and served two airlines. By 1928, it has also served as the weather observation station for the city. It was temporarily converted to a military airfield in the 1940s. Today, it is now one of the world’s busiest airports. It serves low-cost carriers such as Southwest, Frontier, and Spirit; along with Delta, one of the original airlines. During your stay in Atlanta, visit the Delta Flight Museum, Martin Luther King Jr Historic Site, Centennial Olympic Park, and Agatha’s Mystery Theater. There are great restaurants too such as Hickory and Hazel for southern food and Champions. Read on for a list of hotels and vacation rentals near Atlanta Airport North:
