Beloeil is both a suburb of Montreal and a small city. This area is located off the main island in South West Quebec on the Richelieu River and is 32 km (20 miles) east of Montreal. Although it is only a small city, Beloeil offers warm, traditional charm. Be sure to try the French-Canadian menus on offer at the city’s best restaurants: Le Coureur Des Bois Bistro and Barabouf. Attractions in Beloeil include the Villebon House, where the city presents cultural exhibitions and art events. Other attractions in the city include a local golf club and a cinema. The annual Beloeil festival of music, art and comedy takes place every year in July.
