Bobcat Stadium was built in 1981, in honor of former athletic director Jim Wacker. Bobcat Stadium is the playing-field for Texas State University. The stadium has 30,000 seats and offers a terrace and luxury suites with banquets halls for events. The stadium’s huge LED screens make for an impressive way to watch the game. Here, visitors can visit nearby parks, go bowling, or hang out at a variety of different bars. There are also great places to shop in the area. For great Mexican food, there’s Mamacitas. If you want some pizza, visit Gatti’s, and for other Italian food, visit McAlisters Deli. If you’re in the mood to chow down on some meat before a game, visit Church’s Chicken or Hays Country BBQ. Keep reading to check out these great places to stay nearby the Bobcat Stadium.
