Hotels & Vacation Rentals Near Bolton Abbey Estate, UK

Wander your way along the Welly Walk Bolton Abby trail, which runs beside the River Wharfe, until you get to the southeastern edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park in northern England. There you will come upon the Bolton Abbey Estate. The property stretches for 33,000 acres containing six sites of special interest, eight miles of river, 84 farms, and 27 businesses. The Estate draws its name from the ruins of the Bolton Abbey. The structure was built in the early 12th century to serve as an abbey led by the Augustinian order. Political changes left the church in ruins. There are also many trail walks and historic sites to visit on the estate including the Barden Tower, The Stepping Stones, and The Money Tree.
