The Hellfire Pass Museum in Sai Yok is dedicated to the Hellfire Pass, the railroad at the border with the former Burma railway built during the World War II by forced labour. The railroad was given its name from the liberation of the labours which happened at the torchlight at night, resembling Hell. Across from the museum is the Buddhist temple of Wat Hat Ngio, easily recognisable with its tall and colourful statues of Buddha. The Sai Yok National Park along with its waterfalls and mountains are just a few minutes’ drive away. Interested in staying near the Hellfire Pass museum in Thailand?
