Kandrich Mountain stands 638.6 metres above sea level and is perhaps the highest mountain in the Bingen Forest. Kandrich Mountain is situated in the German state of Rhineland-Palatinate. The mountain is also located close to Daxweiler in the county of Bad Kreuznach. Apart from its remarkable height, Kandrich Mountain has a rich history. It is said that the first type Enercon E-66 wind turbine was initially installed on this mountain. During the World War II, Kandrich Mountain served as a station of the US Armed Forces from 1986 until 1991. The summit of the mountain is mainly treeless. Therefore, it is possible to enjoy excellent views of the Hunsrück mountain range and Rhine Valley from the mountain’s summit. Want to spend some time at the mountain?
