Located at the humble, yet beautiful island of Rishiri in Hokkaido, Kutsgata Harbor plays an important part in the island’s economic development. Since its designation as a local port in the 1950s, it has served as one of the few ports and anchorage sites for ships. Not too far from the harbor, one will find a number of charming local attractions. The nearby Cape Kutsugata Park is a great place to take a stroll and enjoy the view of the sea. A little further into the town, visitors can unwind at the Shoubukawa and Nakahara Spas. On the whole, the area surrounding Kutsugata Harbor is a great place to relax and energize your mind and body. Fortunately, there are plenty of accommodations around the area that are very private and very quiet, as well.
