The Ratsadanupradit Mahitsaraphakdi Park in the Thai city of Trang might be hard to pronounce for many a traveller, but it doesn’t take a fluent Thai speaker to appreciate the governor that the park —and commemorative statue within its grounds— is named after. Locals from his generation will fondly remember Phraya Ratsadanupradit Mahitsaraphakdi (born Khaw Sim Bee) as an able leader who first introduced the planting of rubber trees in Thailand. Apart from the park in which you can bask in away from the hustle and bustle of the main streets, there are several other attractions around Trang, such as Morakot (Emerald) Cave, Khao Kob Cave, and Trang Hua Hin Beach. If you’re planning to visit, read on for a list of hotels and Airbnb vacation rentals near Ratsadanupradit Mahitsaraphakdi Park:
