1. Quirky living space with eclectic decor (from 105 USD)

Ever thought about giving your home an edgy touch with quirky art decor? Well, now you can stay in such a place and see how it feels. This artsy loft in a converted building is one of the quirkiest rentals in Houston. It is centrally located and you can walk to most of the tourist attractions. However, light rail access is across the street from the front door. The bedroom, done out with a joyful mix of colors and quirky patterns, comes with a king-sized bed. Sleep away in this enchanting room and wake up to a bright, sunny morning like a hearty Houstanian. For information, that ‘TRILL’ behind the bed is a slang word that means extremely cool! Trill very much represents the local Houston culture, and this space makes you live it. Divided with an American flag, the living space and the bedroom look cool and hip, putting you in a happy mood instantly. You’re sure to love the big windows and the sunlight too. Stock the fridge with groceries from Phoenicia downtown market and cook up pasta, chicken, eggs, stuffed peppers, or whatever you fancy. There is everything you might need for your cooking adventure. That’s the kitchen from another angle. Yes, they have a bear carpet there. Also, a mouse painting a mouse (mouse-ception!), and even more to keep you gaping. Wait till you see the other corner! The house really is full of life and color. The bathroom cannot fail to enchant you with its rather Turkish-like theme. There’s a walk-in shower with a nice rainmaker shower head, storage space, and towels. Feel free to take some inspiration from the picture and do a happy shower dance! The whole house is a great experience and it is also very close to the night life in Houston. It definitely provides a cheery stay!

2. Modern yet vintage and a Pokemon paradise (from 83 USD)

Built in 1924 (includes Museum Flat) but remodeled, this property is a perfect amalgamation of modern and vintage. Literally in the center of Houston, it is a short walk from Rice University, Hermann Park, Mid-Town, and almost everywhere you might want to visit The property is landscaped beautifully and the Airbnb flat is through the backyard gate. For those who have a special love for red doors, this is a pretty option. The bedroom is lovely and cozy with a great mixture of vintage and contemporary decor. You can enjoy a laid-back afternoon watching Netflix and Prime, which are readily available for your TV needs. The freestanding bath tub is surely one of the highlights of the house and will make you long for a good soak. Play some lovely music, get some beautiful fragrances, use those organic soaps you have saved for some time now, and let the soothing times flow. It’s the stuff that dreams are made of!

I’ve stayed in this host’s cottage several times and didn’t realize the flat was so charming! Lovely large bathroom with a freestanding bath, and a comfortable and inviting bedroom complete with a TV. refrigerator, Keurig coffeemaker (with pods and cream in the fridge), microwave and lots of closet space. Oh, and the location is sooo convenient, parking a breeze. One of my all time favorite Airbnb’s… Lynne
The flat looks over the garden deck and the patio offers a lovely time, complete with Adirondack loungers and a bistro table. Enjoy coffee or another drink before starting the day or after you’ve been out sightseeing. Another big bonus of renting this property is that you can find many rare Pokemons around the area, so up your game!

If yo’re looking for inviting and comfortable vacation homes in Houston, then this property might interest you. Picture yourself sipping a cup of your favorite tea or coffee in this beautiful living space. This warmly decorated three-story townhome is also centrally located with restaurants, bars, and businesses within a short walk. The bedroom, with its unique layout, warm, inviting decor, and pretty pops of color everywhere, is delightful to spend time in. Imagine being propped up in that bed and finally getting round to starting writing that journal or diary that you always wanted to keep. The room also makes for a great picture, so more reasons for Instagramming! Enjoy a glass of wine in the evening with stunning views of the downtown skyline, or practice yoga or meditation in the morning. The deck makes a very apt place for everything.

We only stayed in Houston as a rest stop on our road trip, but I wish I could live in this house forever!!! The room, bathroom and view were amazing and there were tons of places to eat in the area. La Tiempo (suggested by Priya) had the best fajitas and was a 3 minute walk. There’s a coffee shop called blacksmith really close by that was suggested to us and was fantastic. This place was seriously an oasis. I wish I was still there. Elyse

4. Luxurious loft in a converted 19th-century warehouse (from 115 USD)

You can easily get an Uber ride to this historic building with amazing architecture and eye-catching artworks. Typical of the convertible building style in Houston, this one is a converted 19th-century warehouse with a lot of character. The flat is on the third floor with the most gorgeous views of Minute Maid Park and the downtown area that is just across a highway. As you enter, this loft is sure to leave you awestruck. The modern yet Elizabethan look, with 14-foot-high (4.3-meter-high) ceilings, hardwood floors, bare yet polished bricks, wooden beams, ornate chandeliers, and riveting oil paintings will make you stop and pay attention. And yes, you can have stunning views of the downtown from everywhere, be it the living room, the dining area, or even your bed. Good morning Houston!

I left my 1 year anniversary vacation stay in the hands of the Artist Loft. To say the least, I definitely chose the right place (the place was a surprise to my girlfriend) The loft was so incredibly gorgeous, filled w beautiful artwork and decor, the very first time we walked in my heart fluttered. It is, if anything, just like the pictures or in our opinion better. (more spacious than expected) James was our host. He was sweet, responsive and thoughtful. He surprised us one evening with a bottle of rosé and an edible arrangement to congratulate us on our 1 year. I wish I could write more, but this place cannot be explained, only experienced. Ireland
Always wanted to paint but never had an opportunity or the time? Have fun with the supplies stocked for painting and drawing in the art studio. Feel free to enjoy the art space and give wings to your imagination. If you love crafting and shaping sounds or are a guitar lover, the flat also offers a fully equipped office / recording studio. In case inspiration strikes, you know you have a small music studio with pro tools. Although, sometimes the nicest thing to do with a guitar is to just look at it. A long polished wooden table set in the middle, and art pieces placed aesthetically throughout the place, will make you feel like you are living in one of those houses cut out from the pages of Architects Today magazine.
