Founded in 1902 along the shoreline south of Ocean Boulevard, The Pike was an amusement zone littered with independent arcades, food stands, souvenir shops, and numerous rides. In 1954, there were a total of 218 amusements in the park but its reputation dropped for it faced stiff competition from the nearby Knott’s Berry Farm and Disneyland. The Pike amusement park was finally closed and demolished in 1979. Today, it is home to several outlet stores and has been renamed to “The Pike Outlets”. The Pike is situated close to numerous popular landmarks. For instance, The Earl Burns Miller Japanese Gardens, Ranchos Los Cerritos Historic Site, Knotts Berry Farm and Disneyland Parks are situated a short drive away. There are restaurants aplenty within the area. If you are a fan of aquatic animals, the Aquarium of the Pacific is within walking distance from The Pike Outlets. With great convenience at your doorstep, what are you waiting for? Read on, and select a hotel or vacation rental that is situated near The Pike Outlets.
