Monteverde is one of the must-see sites of Costa Rica. It is known for the Monteverde Cloud Forest where you will find trails weaving through dense forests and incredible views from up above. What better way to celebrate everything that makes Monteverde so spectacular than to live in the trees while you are there? The TreeTop House in Monteverde is the ideal place for an authentic Monteverde experience.
A rustic, cozy experience with unbeatable views
The minute you arrive at the TreeTop House you will feel as though you’ve discovered a secret mountain oasis. The cabin is up a quiet and secluded drive, so you will quickly forget how close you are to the life of Monteverde. The house itself is stunningly designed, but don’t go looking for luxury here. This is definitely a rustic lodge and though I give it five stars in atmosphere and experience, I don’t recommend this location for those who wish to stay in 5-star housing. If you are ready for a more rustic experience, there is none better than the TreeTop House. You’ll love it the minute you step inside, but you will adore the place once you head up to the deck and see where this home gets its name.
Great for all travelers, ideal for big groups
You can rent space by the room at the TreeTop House, and the smaller rooms are great for individual or small groups of travelers. But larger parties will get the most out of the TreeTop House. Whether you are traveling as a large group of friends, as an extended family, or with multiple families, the TreeTop House is ideal. There are plenty of rooms in the TreeTop House, so you can fit up to 12 people, but the rooms are spread out so you can still enjoy your privacy. On top of that, there’s a decently stocked kitchen and clean, spacious bathrooms. In case that isn’t enough, there are also multiple decks from which you can relax and enjoy the views.
You cannot beat this location
There are two main attractions in Monteverde: the town and the cloud forest. The TreeTop House is directly between these two spots. Sabine, the owner of the TreeTop House will be in touch with you from the moment you book your room until the day you leave to help you organize transportation and tours. She is also very willing to show you the best way to enjoy her town, which you will find easy to do with such prime real estate!
In Conclusion: the TreeTop House is definitely worth a visit
The TreeTop House costs between 130 USD (115 EUR) and 320 USD (282 EUR) depending on if you are renting individual rooms or the entire space. These are pretty average rates for hotels in the area, but the experience at the TreeTop House is truly one-of-a-kind. If you are heading to Monteverde any time soon, I highly recommend checking out this beautiful space.
