Even if you’re not a regular bar visitor, you can safely order just beer or a wine here. It’s not that you’ll have to order a particular brand. Those how prefer a highball can order some of the Nikka Whiskey brands which lately became famous for appearing in NHK’s TV series “Massan”.
At “The Bar” you can enjoy also some high-class cigars
You can enjoy cigars at “The Bar” too. They’ll even light up your own cigars so it’s safe to bring in yours.
The main difference between cigars and ordinary cigarettes is that you don’t suck in the smoke in your lungs and you don’t puff away on the cigar. The cigars smell like incense sticks so in fact many women who hate cigarette smoke enjoy the smell of a cigar. Of course, those who are allergic to nicotine should watch out, but in general it’s nice to have some leisurely time in this bar.
There are many seasonal events at “The Bar”!
Many seasonal events are held at “The Bar”. For example, there is a champagne garden in summer. You can drink as much champagne from famous brands like “Moet & Chandon” and “Veuve Clicquot” as you like for a reasonable price in the bar’s outdoor garden on the fifth floor (if it rains you go inside, and the champagne brands change every month). Another event’s main attraction is creating different types of Mojito with rum and different fruits.
The prices for participating in those seasonal events are always announced in advance and the atmosphere becomes quite lively, so even people who’re not used to bars will casually enjoy their time. However, casual doesn’t mean arriving in short pants and sandals.

After you warm up yourself with a drink and leave the hotel, you will see all the glittering Christmas illuminations at Osaka Garden City. The atmosphere here is a bit classier than in most other parts of Osaka so you will enjoy it as an afterglow from your bar experience. Usually one goes to a bar after dinner, but this is the opposite case. There’s plenty of time to try local food such as takoyaki (octopus dumplings) or yakiniku (grilled meat) around Tsuruhashi Station.
