Santiago Bernabeu Stadium is one of Madrid’s top attractions for tourists; there’s no need to be a Real Madrid fan to enjoy the Bernabeu Tour, but if you are, this is will be the perfect experience for you. Your entrance includes a panoramic view of the stadium, “The Best Club in History” showroom, The Sensations Room, the Trophy Exhibition, the Dressing Room, the Pressroom, the official store and much more! As a non-football person, I didn’t really want to visit Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, but once I was inside, I realized that this tour was worth every penny. After the tour, I’m sure that you are going to search for tickets for the next match!

Amazing views from the top
The tour goes from top to bottom; this will allow you to enjoy the panoramic view from the stadium first. This is the perfect place to start taking photos, but you should know that this is not the only panoramic view that will amaze you, as there is one more at the bottom and another one from the soccer field.
“The Best Club in History” showroom will teach you about the evolution of the Real Madrid soccer team through dynamic touch-screens, where you are going to see old photos and read plenty of fun facts. It’s amazing to learn how the team’s clothing, soccer balls, and shoes have changed through technological improvements, which have been reflected in better aerodynamics during the matches. This floor is more about the founder of the team, its evolution, and the changes made to the logo from 1902 to today.
Getting a bit closer to the team
“The Sensations Room” is the best part of the tour. In the large display, you will be able to admire the clothing of the team members that made history in the club, as well as their trophies, which are sheltered with smart glass technology, which keeps changing its display in a dynamic way.
It is called “sensations” for a reason, and one of the reasons is that it has the ability to transport you back in time through original speakers that will narrate the victorious matches even if they occurred years ago.
The trophy exhibition is found inside a showcase with a victorious atmosphere created by sound and golden serpents flying around, letting you relive the team’s victories. You can enjoy a ten minute documentary where the current players will talk about the sacrifices they made and the rewards they gain. This documentary is shown in English and Spanish.
Feel thrilled at the pitch
Do you want a photo with Cristiano Ronaldo? This amazing photomontage will make your dreams come true! And you can buy your photo at the end of the tour.
Once you get to the pitch you are going to feel like the head coach, planning the strategy to win the match. Or you can simply feel like a VIP member observing the game in the presidential box, whose luxury and view of the pitch is incredibly different from the stadium seats at the top.
As if that were not enough, you can get into the dressing rooms, where you are going to see the rehabilitation room, the hot tub, and the players’ lockers. Walking through the tunnel, dugouts, and the technical area will make you feel what they feel just before a match.
How to end a wonderful experience
The pressroom officially culminates with the Bernabeu Tour. You can sit at the center of the room and pretend you are giving a press conference. Finally, you can buy an official souvenir at the gift shop. What about a nice T-shirt, a keychain, or a soccer ball? Let me tell you, the prices are not pocket friendly as it is the official store, but you can buy a commemorative coin from 1 EUR (approximately 1.1 USD), which is a nice souvenir.
I recommend you buy your tickets online; on certain dates you can get special discounts. The normal ticket costs 19 EUR (21.3 USD). However, if you are a Madridista Card Holder, you can have preferential access without waits and special discounts for the tour and the matches. Take into account that the closing times may change whenever a match is planned. I personally recommend attending both, the Bernabeu Tour and a match; the environment in a match can’t be compared with the tour!
No more excuses. Visit Santiago Bernabeu Stadium!
This is one of those touristic attractions that can be enjoyed by anyone, you don’t have to be a football fan to like the tour and this is the type of place where you can come with the entire family. Even if the experience isn’t cheap, you’ll feel that it was really worth it. Real Madrid is one of the most recognized football teams throughout the world. Hala Madrid!
