You can’t mention Gouda without talking about cheese. It’s part of the rich history of the city, but only part of the story. This small city near the confluence of the Nieuwe Gouwe and the Hollandsche Ijssel rivers has a walkable historic center full of beautifully preserved historic public buildings and private houses. The Grote Markt is full of restaurants, terraces, and cute places to shop before heading off to see the nearby Stadhuis with its iconic red shutters and the famous stained glass windows of Sint-Janskerk. A short train ride of less than an hour will get you to Amsterdam and Rotterdam is even closer by. Here are a few suggestions for places to stay during a trip to this delightful city in the province of South Holland.
We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities.
