Nusa Dua lies in the southern part of Bali, Indonesia, approximately a 1-hour drive away from Denpasar City, the provincial capital of Bali. It was tailored to be an “all-inclusive” type of tourist destination that caters to globetrotters around the world. Nusa Dua has split to ‘two islands’ because of the two islands located in the bay of the Bali Tourism Development Corporation area. Even though it is one of the most developed areas in Bali, Nusa Dua is still able to maintain its temples and museums, providing tourists a variety of attractions to see. Let us not forget the famous white sandy beaches of Bali that have been one of the reasons why people keep coming back to relax in the city. Nusa Dua is an enclave of luxury hotels which are ideal for honeymooners or those who want to bring the whole family for an unforgettable trip to Bali. Therefore, let’s see all of the fun things to do in Nusa Dua to plan for your next holiday getaway!
1. Get blown by water
Waterblow in Nusa Dua is one of the most sought-after attractions in the city. It is in the Indonesia Tourism Development Centre (ITDC) area on Nusa Dua beach just north of the Grand Hyatt Hotel. People come here to experience a close encounter with really large waves. The blow happens when the seawater hits a rock, which results in a giant splash, getting people nearby wet. Prepare to get soaked or keep at a distance to avoid getting wet! What a fun way to start your Nusa Dua trip, right?

2. Learn about Indonesian culture at the Devdan Show
Watch this fun act of the Indonesian Archipelago that takes place in Nusa Dua Theater. You might think that this show is no different from other cultural shows in the world but you’d be wrong. The show depicts a story narrated and acted by a boy and a girl showing how they discovered a treasure chest filled with artifacts that represent the island and its culture. The fun storyline will keep you enthralled until the end of the show. You’ll also have the chance to take a photo with the whole cast in their costumes!

3. Swim with the seaweed at Geger Beach
Geger Beach is a popular beach among the locals of Nusa Dua because of its calm waters. In fact, farmers grow seaweed here. The algae is being harvested by the farmers and uses it as a component in producing cosmetics. Besides, the seaweeds are edible too! Well kidding aside, the beach is not only famous for its seaweeds but also as a great escape to the hustle and bustle of the city crowd. It is a perfect place to swim and snorkel with the kids!

4. Fly like a super hero: flyboarding in Nusa Dua
Flyboarding is a recent trend in water sports. The device used in flyboarding was a creation of a French watercraft rider that has made it to in Nusa Dua for the daredevils. The device is on the borderline of a surfing board and a jet ski motor. A boot is attached to the device that you’ll have to wear during your stunt. The high water pressure will then make its way to the hose connected to the device and voila! Fly high, my hero! Unleash your inner superhero strength and try this activity!

5. Swim at Nusa Dua's hidden Pandawa Beach
Pandawa Beach is another well-known beach among tourists. It is called a secret beach; do you want to know why? Because limestone cliffs are covering the long stretch of beach at Pandawa, therefore, dubbing it as a hidden beach in Nusa Dua. Even though the beach is not easily accessible, gutsy people are still keen on going to Pandawa. But, to compensate for the struggle of visiting the place, the beach is less crowded making you feel like you own it for a whole day of fun!

6. Feel like a survivor of an abandoned plane
What could be more special than an abandoned plane that is full of mystery, right? Like, how did it got there? Who left it? Did it crash? Well, there are a few speculations about the plane. Rumour has it that it was bought by an Indonesian businessman to make into a home. Well, some say the owner wanted to make it as an aviation-cinema and a restaurant. But I think the realistic theory is that after buying it to turn into an attraction, the businessman suddenly ran out of money and just left it there. Besides, a few pictures would be a good souvenir!

7. Sign up for a relaxing treat at Thalasso Bali Spa
If you paid attention to the information I shared for Geger Beach, you’ll know that there is a wide variety of seaweeds in Nusa Dua. So, a treatment at Thalasso Spa is a perfect treat! Thalassotherapy is a cure for people experiencing joint problems and injuries. What makes it different from other spas? It uses marine products such as algae, marine muds, seaweeds, and the marine climate to promote health, wellness, and beauty.

8. Be like Jack Sparrow for a day at The Pirates Bay
Unfortunately, the ship is not on the ocean, but rather situated in the sand surrounded by a tree house with a bay lookout tower. Surprisingly, the ship is a restaurant! There is a pirate’s kitchen where the restaurant offers numerous food options on the menu for all ages. There’s nothing more fun than enjoying food in a relaxed open-air environment. So, pirates or pizza? You can have both. The real question is, are you ready to sail, or rather, eat? Aye, aye captain!
