2. Run amok at Boomers

Now we may just have included this as one listing but really with all that it offers it could easily take up a few on this list. Boomers is a slice of everything plus extra all under one roof. Not sure you know what we mean, well at Boomers there is mini golf, most family fun centers would have maybe an outdoor mini fun golf course, which yes, Boomers do have but they also have an indoor mini golf game, and a Cosmic mini golf (it all glows in the dark). Get the gist now? Other favourites include the rock wall, bumper boats and the go karts. To be honest; kids or not, this is a great day out!

From beginner, intermediate and advanced climbers there is fun to be had here for all levels. Hangar 18 is part of Southern California’s largest chain of indoor climbing gyms and there is a reason for that. Their climbing walls are well created with various exciting pathways to explore so doing the same wall twice doesn’t feel repetitive and that is exactly what makes a good indoor climbing gym!

4. Catch a show at the Grove Theatre

We like this theatre because everything that plays out on its stage is local and we love supporting local acts. The theatre is only small so you don’t need to worry about which seats are the best to take in order to have a perfect view of the stage. There is also a cinema in the theatre which plays a range of movie titles and is always popular by those people wanting to support the local community. It is definitely worth seeing what is on at the theatre if you find yourself in Upland.

A fourteen minute drive from Upland will take you straight to this calming area which is dedicated to conserving California’s native plants and also offers a bevy of fun education activities such as free bird watching, guided tours that take in the flora and fauna of the gardens and year round workshops; medicinal planting, botany and much more. Of course you could avoid all of that and instead choose to stroll through the gardens in your own way; exploring all the different nooks and zones that have each been lovingly cared for.
