The restaurant has a lounge bar and indoor and outdoor seating, depending on the weather. Dishes feature the restaurant’s signature Szechuan peppers for classic spiciness. Red Hook Lobster Pound has two locations in New York City, as well as a food truck during the summer months. With a nautical theme, the restaurant serves lobster rolls along with other New England seafood dishes and craft cocktails for lunch and dinner. Brunch is available on Sundays from 11am to 3pm. Originally Maria Piedad Cano used to sell her Colombian arepas on the street but her sons moved their mother into a proper brick-and-mortar location where her popular Colombian corn cakes and delicious tropical juices could be enjoyed. Most popular are the arepa de queso (with melted mozzarella) and the arepa de choclo, with its extra corn flavor. Fillings for the cornmeal cakes also include delicious chicharrón and chorizo. No alcohol is served on the premises. Everything is on offer for under 10 USD.
