Spread out over almost 3000 acres (1214 hectares), for an additional charge, visitors can go boating in one of the many paddle boats, motorboats or rowboats plying on the lake. Take in fabulous views of the Aravalli Hills and feel the cool breeze on your face as you paddle your way across the lake. Time your visit

The water level in the lake falls quite significantly in the summer months of April to July. So, it’s best to visit during the monsoon season if you want to enjoy boating. Also, monsoon (June - September) and winter (November - February) months have favourable temperatures that attract migratory birds. So, these months are best for bird watching.

Carry essentials

If you plan to do bird watching, make sure you carry a good pair of binoculars. For those indulging in outdoor activities, especially trekking, nature walks or boating, ensure that you wear sturdy shoes, sunscreen, sunglasses, cap or hat. If you plan to enjoy a picnic by the lake, carry enough food and water. Make sure to clean up after a picnic and do not drop litter.
