Hotel Okada is located in Hakone Yumoto in Kanagawa prefecture. The hotel was given 5 stars in the 2014 hotel selection guide of the Japanese Tourism Economy Journal. Hakone is one of the most popular hot spring destinations for the Japanese, and growingly for international tourists. It is located at only one hour and a half by train from Tokyo. Its location has made Hakone the most popular getaway for busy people from Tokyo and the surrounding prefectures, and its hot springs are considered as one of the best. Hotel Okada is only at 5 min by bus and 20 min by foot from Hakone Yumoto Station, at the heart of Hakone.

Besides from the hot springs reserved to the hotel guests, Hotel Okada also offers a hot spring for day trippers, called Yu no Sato Okada. It is open between 11:00 and 23:00, and entry costs 1,450 JPY (12 USD) for adults and 600 JPY (5 USD) for kids with rental towels for 200 JPY (1.7 USD). Of course, if you stay at the hotel, this part of hot spring is also free to enjoy.
