One of the most popular tourist destinations on the Indonesian Island of Bali, Ubud is an art-lover’s paradise. With many beautiful buildings and charming art galleries, not to mention the strong sense of the unique Balinese spirituality and the numerous offerings to the spirits around almost every corner, Ubud is a great place for both relaxing and exploring.

Get into the laid-back holiday mood with a stay at Tunjung Bungalows. A small and intimate guest house, it’s attractive and comfortable, with pretty grounds and helpful members of staff. And, the prices are really reasonable too!

Beautiful rooms with good facilities at appealing prices

Tunjung Bungalows has just eight rooms in total, meaning that you can luxuriate in the peaceful atmosphere. Rooms can accommodate two guests, with a choice of one double bed or two single beds, and cost around 225,000 IDR (approximately 17.30 USD) per night. An extra bed, by way of a spare mattress on the floor, may be possible if you are travelling in a trio; this depends, however, on availability, and you need to agree any additional surcharges with the owners.

The spacious rooms have electric fans so you can keep cool, and each has a private bathroom with a hot-water shower. A wardrobe means that you can put your belongings away neat and tidy, and rooms also have a desk / dressing table with a stool.

Rooms have either a terrace or a balcony, depending on whether they are on the ground level or first floor. Relax in your private outdoor space and enjoy the serene nature. An outdoor table plus chairs is provided for your total comfort. You’ll also find a clothes rail outside your room, ideal if you want to hand-wash a few of your clothes. They’ll dry in next to no time in the Balinese sunshine!

Inclusive breakfast and other facilities

A basic breakfast is included each morning, with a choice of eggs or a pancake and a cup of tea or coffee to wash your meal down with. Breakfast is served at your room; start your day by sitting out on your balcony or terrace and listening to lilting birdsong. If you’re in need of a little pick-me-up throughout the day, you’ll be pleased to hear that complimentary tea and coffee is available at all times.

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available, with a strong and reliable signal in the rooms.

The friendly members of staff can assist with booking an array of trips, such as a tour of the island, and onward bus and boat transportation. They are also a fantastic source of information when you’re planning what to see and do in the local area.

Beautiful gardens and grounds

All rooms either overlook or lead onto the lovely gardens. With plenty of pretty flowers and traditional Balinese sculptures, you’ll be forgiven if you spend a while just wandering around the grounds and enjoying the natural air.

A small gateway towards the rear of the grounds leads through what appears to be an area of Balinese shrines. This adds even more to the visual appeal of Tunjung Bungalows and creates an interesting little twist.
