If you are heading to Boston, USA, and looking to splurge a little on a luxurious stay, look no further than the Seaport Boston Hotel, which is located in the bustling Seaport District with an amazing water view. With the hotel situated about 5 kilometres (3 miles) from Logan International Airport, you are just a 10-minute taxi ride away from sinking into the hotel bed after a weary flight.
Choose your pillow from the pillow menu
The room is immaculate, comfortable, and surprisingly big. It comes with complimentary Wi-Fi that is very fast, cable TV with 55 channels, a desk area with USB charging ports, bedside phone chargers and even an umbrella in the closet. But the best part is the pillow menu, which allows you to choose from 10 pillows, including down and memory foam pillows! With an assortment of pillows to choose from and a big soft bed, you are bound to have a restful sleep. For those with an allergy to dust, you can choose to stay in PURE rooms, which are professionally treated to be irritant-free.
Pristine bathroom with heated floor
The bathroom is large, pristine, and well-stocked with plush towels and complimentary Gilchrist and Soames bath amenities. The best feature is the heated bathroom floor, which is a godsend during winter months. The last thing you want is to step on the cold floor right after your hot shower. It also comes with night lighting, whereby you can dim the lights of the bathroom so that the glare from the bathroom wouldn’t affect your sleep, yet allows you to find your way easily if you need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. The only thing I could nitpick on is the fact that the water pressure from the shower head wasn’t strong enough for my liking.
Start your day with a hearty buffet breakfast
There is quite a spread for the buffet breakfast. You get typical breakfast food like pancakes, sausages and eggs, but there are also choices like pepper frittata, grilled vegetables and smoked salmon, which are all pretty tasty. If you are lazy to head down for a breakfast and prefer dining in bed, in-room dining is possible, with over 10 choices, including lobster cake!
A splurge-worthy stay with no complaints
The Seaport Boston Hotel is top-notch in terms of service and quality. Starting from about 200 USD for one room, it belongs to the mid to high range accommodation category. If you are someone who doesn’t mind paying more just for a hassle-free and comfortable stay, you will find it very worthwhile. What I like most about the hotel is that it is very well-maintained and that there are thoughtful touches here and there, such as the pillow menu and heated bathroom floors, which give guests unexpected surprises. It is not right smack in the Boston downtown area, however, it is right beside the Silver Line subway station, which makes it convenient for heading to all of Boston’s attractions. The fact that it is not in the middle of the downtown area also means that it is not noisy, and you will most certainly have a good rest during your stay.
