Dinner at The Fujiya the main dining room

The concept at The Fujiya, the main dining room at Hakone Miyanoshita’s Fujiya hotel, is to enjoy a dinner in a leisurely fashion so 5:45pm and 8pm are the only reservation slots available.

The dinner course is French cuisine and starts with the tuna and summer vegetable terrine, then a potage, seabass with crab tomato cream sauce, wagyu fillet steak with diable sauch, and for dessert they have a passion fruit creme brulee with cocoanut sherbet, all of which allow you to feel the season. The presentation is beautifully executed and the taste is even better, also with such great service you can enjoy every bit of this dinner at the Fujiya Hotel for a whole 2 hours.

The breakfast buffet at Wisteria grill

At the main dining room The Fujiya they offer an American style breakfast but at the Wisteria grill they offer a breakfast buffet.

Each dish is carefully made and although it’s a buffet you can tell no expense has been spared. From the omelet made in front of you to the homemade pumpkin soup, to the Fujiya chicken curry, and bread and fruits that you can buy at the shop here, at this all western food buffet.

For a Japanese breakfast head to Kikkasou

If you want a traditional Japanese breakfast this is the place. The annex Kikkasou used to be an imperial villa. You can choose between white rice and congee, and they offer foods that are kind to your body like tofu. Built like in Sukiya style, it is a fully Japanese built building, with a gorgeous courtyard which you can view while having your breakfast it is an amazing space to say the least.

Have a traditional French toast at the tea lounge

The traditional French toast being offered at the tea lounge Orchid is a dish that you must have once.

The homemade bread is dipped in milk and fried, making the outside crispy and the inside warm and fluffy,. Definitely put a dollop of the homemade ice cream on top when eating. For those who love sweet foods this is perfect for you with its volume. At the tea lounge you can also have the moist Miyanoshita Roll or the crispy apple pie.

For lunch you can go to The Fujiya for French, Wisteria for western food, and Kikkasou for Japanese.
