Hotel Arthur has 182 rooms in total, offering various facilities within rooms of different sizes, to accommodate different party sizes and cater to varying needs, budgets, and expectations. The nightly rate can vary depending on the time of year and whether you plan to stay during the week or over a weekend.

The cheapest rooms are the Economy Rooms. Perfect for cash-strapped solo travellers, each has a single bed, a desk, a TV, and a wash basin. You can choose whether to stay in a room with an en suite bathroom (shower and toilet), one with a toilet and shared shower facilities, or one that shares all bathroom amenities (toilet and shower). Note that bathrooms may be on a different floor to your room. These rooms are priced at between 75 and 155 EUR (approximately 82 and 169.50 USD) per night.

Single guests can also stay in a Basic Room. With a private bathroom, a desk, and a TV, they offer more space than the Economy Rooms. A night’s stay costs between 75 and 135 EUR (approximately 82 and 147.50 USD). Basic Rooms are also available with two single beds, for two guests, for between 80 and 165 EUR (approximately 87.50 and 180.50 USD) per night.

Standard Rooms are available for one or two guests. Offering the same facilities as the Basic Rooms, they have newer décor and furnishings. Comfort Rooms offer even newer features, and have a modern flat-screen TV, refurbished bathrooms, and a minibar. They are also slightly larger than Standard Rooms. You can book a Comfort Room for two people, sleeping in two single beds, for between 100 and 180 EUR (approximately 109.50 and 197 USD) per night.

Superior Rooms are ideal for couples who like a bit more luxury, or parents travelling with children. Featuring two single beds that are placed next to each other, rooms also have a sofa bed that is suitable for up to two small children. With a private bathroom, you’ll also find a desk, additional seats, and tea and coffee making facilities. Most also have a mini refrigerator. These rooms cost between 100 and 190 EUR (approximately 109.50 and 208 USD) per night.

If you love retiring to your own beautiful private space after a day of exploring or work, the Art Nouveau Rooms might be just what you are looking for. The large rooms offer high standards of décor and exquisite furnishings. Eye-catching patterns and pictures make them a joy to behold. Available with either a single bed or a double bed, other room facilities include a private bathroom, a desk, TV, a kettle, and complimentary tea and coffee.

A trio of friends can opt for the 3-Person Rooms, with three single beds, and there are also rooms for four, with either four single beds or a double bed plus two singles. Family Rooms have a double bed in a sleeping alcove, a separate bedroom with two single beds, and the possibility of having an additional bed in the living room. Family Rooms can accommodate up to five guests and cost between 165 and 260 EUR (approximately 180.50 and 284 USD) per night.

Several specialist rooms are available too, offering very high standards of luxury and comfort. With individual names, they include the Aino Kallas Room, the Ateljee Room, and the Sir Arthur Suite.

Restaurant Arthur Helsinki is a popular place for guests and non-guests, locals and visitors. Usually open just for lunch, it is known for its extensive lunch buffet, salad bar, and delicious Finnish favourites. You can also order from the menu too if you don’t fancy filling up on the buffet. The buffet always features at least one type of soup and three warm dishes, although the exact selection varies from day to day. Examples of a la carte dishes include burgers, borscht (a type of soup), hot pot (similar to stew), pasta, steak, and salmon.

There is a small shop in the reception area where you can buy a selection of drinks, snacks, and toiletries. The reception is staffed around the clock, and the friendly members of staff can assist with booking taxis and offer great travel tips to help you make the most of your stay in Helsinki.

Free Wi-Fi internet access is available throughout the hotel, and you can pay to use the computer in the reception if you do not have your own devices with you.

One of the hotel’s most recommended facilities is the excellent private sauna. For just 6 EUR (approximately 6.5 USD) per person you can reserve a session in the sauna for just you and your family or friends. Bookings can be made at reception. Sit in the hot wooden cabin and inhale the slightly-sweet aroma of the steam before bracing yourself to stand under the cold shower – it’s icy! After cooling off, head back into the heat to sweat some more! Relaxing and beneficial for your health, try to book the sauna at least once during your stay.
