San Francisco is known for some of the most luxurious hotels on the planet and some of the most expensive. Add to that parking fees of 60 USD a day or higher and you will break your travel budget fast.

There is a solution. The Coventry Inn, San Francisco, provides quality, comfort, value and convenience. Located on the north side of San Francisco on Lombard Street, it’s easily accessible by auto or public transportation and covered parking is included in your very reasonable room rate.

Space to stretch out, make yourself at home

The staff is welcoming, knowledgeable and accommodating, but it’s your spacious, bright room that creates at-home comfort. Dreamy Tempur-Pedic mattresses, high-quality linens, plenty of pillows and a toasty comforter make the bed an inviting oasis.

Lighting in the room is exceptional. Large bay windows let in natural light, while pendant and bedside lamps provide task lighting. Want to keep the room dark? The windows have black out drapes as well as sheers.

A nice sized table and chairs are perfect for your morning coffee, in-room dining or catching up on work or reading.

All areas of the hotel are white-glove clean and carefully maintained. The traditionally furnished rooms are cared for by staff devoted to your comfort and safety.

All rooms have Wi-Fi, telephones and a large flat-screen television with cable and movie channels as well as individually controlled heat and air conditioning. A coffee maker, Wolfgang Puck estate grown coffee, tea and glass coffee cups are refreshed daily. Should you be in the mood to take your coffee with you, disposable cups are provided. A small refrigerator can be added to your room upon request.

Large soft towels are plentiful and replenished each day. A wall-mounted hair dryer and large well-lit mirror make grooming a breeze. A basket of Terra Pure organic and natural toiletries include hand and bath soap, shampoo and conditioner. My favorite was the ‘makeup remover’ packaged to go. I tucked it into my bag each day. It was a pleasant refresher after mastering one of San Francisco’s famous hills.

Rooms are available with one king-size or two extra long, full-size beds. Rates vary with season and range from 115 USD to 150 USD per night.

Coventry Inn is a safe and secure hotel. Access to the elevator area requires a room key-card to enter. Rooms have electronic locks and ‘no entry’ latches. All parking is covered and under camera surveillance. Elevator areas and hallways have security cameras that are continuously monitored. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day.

What to do in Cow Hollow/Marina

On the border between the Cow Hollow and Marina neighborhoods, you are within a short walk to some of San Francisco’s finest shopping, dining and sightseeing. While Lombard is a busy thoroughfare, one block on either side is quiet and calm. Tree-lined streets are ideal for walking. A mixture of residential blocks and commercial areas, this part of San Francisco is tourist-crowd free. An ideal part of the city for getting to know locals and immerse yourself in the city by the bay.

Shopping – Union and Chestnut Streets have some of San Francisco’s best boutiques, shops and designer studios.

Dining – Bistros, pubs, cafes and fine-dining spots are ubiquitous on Chestnut, Union and Fillmore Streets.

Marina Green is located on the San Francisco Bay. It is perfect for walking, photography and sightseeing.

The Wave Organ is an acoustic sculpture. It plays music made by the Pacific. On San Francisco Bay at the end of Yacht Road, past the Golden Gate Yacht Club.

The Palace of Fine Arts is a San Francisco landmark built in 1915 for the Panama Pacific International Exposition. It provides excellent photo ops.

Fort Mason – A former military base that is now home to art, food, museums and historic buildings. Excellent hiking and unique photo ops.

Exceptional value in a charming area

Enjoy the real San Francisco and its people, in the lovely Cow Hollow/Marina neighborhoods at Coventry Inn. You’ll find a hotel operated with guests’ comfort as their number one job. Located conveniently, clean and well maintained, Coventry Inn provides complimentary, covered parking, a rare San Francisco amenity.
