Whether you’re looking for somewhere fun to take the kids for a day or you want to cut loose and break away from the steamy Bangkok streets and take a day out from more conventional sightseeing, Dreamworld is sure to amuse!
Located in the wider Bangkok area, in Rangsit of Pathum Thani, it offers a fantastic day out for everyone. With something to suit all ages, giggles and laughter are all but guaranteed!
Here are some great things to expect from a day at Dreamworld:
1. A wide selection of thrill rides
Adults and older children can feel the rush on a variety of fast and thrilling rides, such as the dizzyingly high Tornado and the thrilling Viking Ship. Feel your head spinning on Hurricane and watch out for the high jets of water! A ride on Raptor is somewhat like being in a mixing bowl! Cling on and try not to get hurled into the middle, as it twirls around and bumps and grinds … get ready to rock and roll!
Ride the raging river rapids on the Grand Canyon and try to stay dry on Super Splash. Don’t worry if you do get soaked though; you’ll quickly dry out under the hot sunshine. Just make sure that you leave your valuable belongings with a buddy or secure them in a waterproof bag.
For a real adrenalin-kick, ride the awesome Sky Coaster. Soar through the air with your legs dangling and hold on tight! Race through the darkness and hurtle round twists and turns on the Black Hole Coaster – whether you squeeze your eyes shut or keep them wide open, it makes no difference at all!
2. A good assortment of rides for the kids and entire family
Younger visitors are sure to love the cute yet fast Speedy Mouse, and children who enjoy gently bobbing about on water will like the Indian Boats and the Bicycle Boats. The Bumper Boats offer a more competitive experience.
Smile along with your kids as they ride Monza, a cool little train, and take a breather as the little ones make new friends and play in Play Port, a colourful indoor soft play area that features slides, ball pools, and more.
3. Snow and freezing temperatures … in Bangkok!
Snow Town is a novel way to feel the chill in one of the world’s hottest cities. Visitors are provided with rubber boots and a thermal jacket to enjoy the minus degree temperatures. Once inside, a wonderful array of whimsical mini attractions awaits! Strike a pose on Santa’s sleigh, crawl into an igloo, snap a selfie next to an enormous wooly mammoth, gaze up at the highly-decorated Christmas tree, and marvel at a jolly snowman in Bangkok.
The soft powdery snow is perfect for building your very own snow person, creating snow angels, and having a good old-fashioned snowball fight. The icy slide is faster than it first appears!
There is an additional fee of around 200 THB (approximately 5.50 USD) for admission to Snow Town if you did not initially purchase an inclusive package.
4. Lively shows and performances
There are several great shows throughout the day, including the loud Hollywood Action with exploding vehicles and high octane S.W.A.T. team stunts. The Colours of the World Parade showcases all the park’s signature characters, and there is a lively 4D cinema too. Look out for clowns, jugglers, unicyclists, magicians, and other street entertainers performing ad hoc shows around the park.
5. Gorgeous landscapes and themed gardens
Relax for a while with a peaceful stroll through one of the beautiful gardens, inhaling the fragrance of flowers and admiring the vibrant bursts of colour. The Love Garden is a popular spot for couples to take romantic pictures amidst the hearts, birds, and butterflies, and Fairy Tale Land is overflowing with personality. See the enormous Sleeping Giant and a massive boot, peek into Sleeping Beauty’s bedroom … and more!
The gardens are particularly magical of an evening as darkness descends and the lights are switched on to illuminate some lovely features.
6. Other terrific attractions to keep you entertained
The Giant’s House is an engaging and entertaining attraction that is sure to keep you for longer than you expected! Try on the humongous shoes for size, haul yourself up onto the enormous chair, stand in front of the gigantic fireplace, snug down in a mighty tea-spoon, and see a vast assortment of super-sized objects. Be careful not to wake the snoring giant though!
The Haunted House will make you jump as the sounds of piercing shrieks, eerie creaks, and nervous laughter fill the air. There is a small petting zoo, with animals like goats, ponies, and teacup pigs, as well as a sightseeing monorail and a cable car. Take care not to fall into the yawning abyss of the gaping Grand Canyon!
Spend a fabulous day at Dreamworld and make many happy memories
Cartoon characters roam about the theme park, eager to interact with guests and pose for pictures. There are numerous places to eat and drink, with a selection of traditional Thai food and western favourites available. With the low package price of 1,200 THB (approximately 34 USD) for admission, unlimited park rides and shows, Snow Town, and a shuttle service between the main entrance and ticket counters, arrange your brilliant day at Dreamworld without delay!
