Niki Club, a Nasu Kougen resort that a former prime minister of Japan frequents. With very few road signs that point to it, it is a hideaway of a resort. The air here at Niki Club is very crisp and clean and special, and you don’t even have to stay at the hotel to enjoy the atmosphere here, just go to the tea room Niki Boutique. Immerse yourself in the bountiful nature of Nasu while having a relaxing lunch or tea time.
Niki Club is like a museum

Even amongst the others in Nasu Kougen, Niki Club has an air of high society. The former prime minister frequents this resort. On the spacious grounds are well laid out cottages and guest buildings and looks like a museum. You don’t have to be a guest to enjoy the restaurants or the workshops and lessons that are held here, and the Niki Boutique Café & Sweets can be enjoyed readily.
Open hours: weekdays 10am to 4pm, weekends and holidays 10am to 5pm Food is served between 11am until 3pm last order.
The boutique is past the green filled approach

When you pass through the green filled approach next to the cottage you find Niki Boutique made from Oya-ishi stone. In the fall you can enjoy the autumn leaves changing.
You can enjoy some reading in the open café if the weather is good

In front of the boutique is an open terrace. If the weather is nice it is perfect for some reading. You will enjoy the crisp air of Nasu Kougen.
The café corner inside the boutique

Inside the boutique you will find a shop that sells sweets as well as vegetables, and a café corner with seating for 10. It is small but a cozy space. You can feel all four seasons through the windows.
The Niki Plate is like a painting

The finger food menu here is called the Niki Plate. This one plate is almost like a painting with its vibrant colors, great presentation and a creamy pumpkin soup on the side. There is raw ham, Yashio trout smoked salmon, ice plant, vibrantly colorful Nasu Kougen veggies, onion bread, sausage and cream cheese, salad with Caesar dressing and salt. The plate goes well with wine so those not driving should definitely partake.
Conclusion
It is about 15 minutes away from the Nasu outlet mall, so visit after some shopping to really experience coming to Nasu.
If you stay as a guest you can enjoy the dinner made with local ingredients, the spa, outdoor bath, and the babbling brooks around here while having some breakfast.
