The beautiful hot Queensland coastal region, the Sunshine Coast (or the Sunny Coast as it is otherwise known), is a very popular tourist destination in Australia and for many good reasons too! It’s a short distance to drive by car, taking a little over an hour from Brisbane International Airport.

To make your stay that much better the Mantra in Mooloolaba Beach comes highly recommended, it’s from here you get the best views and the best location to base yourself during your stay. From here you can access plenty of the tourist attractions, enjoy all the Mantra has to offer while relaxing in style, what better way to kick start your holiday here!

We handpicked these listings carefully, considering (wherever possible) Superhost status, recent guest reviews, location, accommodation type, prices, availability of dates, decor, and amenities. Stay and play! (from USD 188)

The Mantra is located right in the heart of everything, with the main street, the Esplanade of Mooloolaba Beach or Alexander Headland, another popular beach area, located within walking distance.

You’ll want to definitely stay at the Mantra Mooloolaba Beach when you read the full list of amenities and services the hotel has to offer you. Packed with plenty of room options and helpful staff you will want to stay here again and again!

The rooms are apartment style accommodation with either 1, 2 or 3 bedrooms and, of course, there are penthouse suites available here too. The one bedroom apartments are well worth the money and have all the amenities you would need during your stay. The highlight of staying here is really what’s outside your room! Each room has it’s own kitchenette, laundry area, balcony and spa baths.

The bedrooms are comfortable and spacious enough for two or more. I’ve never said this about a bathroom before but this is one of the best things about the room. If you’re lucky enough, your shower may have views out over the ocean toward Maroochydore. Gone are the days of looking at a blank wall, you can imagine the incredible feeling of looking out over the ocean while you have a shower!

It is highly recommended to book an apartment with an ocean view, if this is a little out of your price range don’t worry as the other rooms have wonderful views toward the canals, Buderim Hill and the Glasshouse Mountains. For an ocean view one bedroom apartment during peak season you will be looking at prices starting from 175 AUD (122 USD), other rooms start from 135 AUD (94 USD).

The hotel that has everything … literally!

Comfortable bedrooms but what about that view!

The Mantra offers much to do within the hotel itself; not only is there an indoor swimming pool but also an outdoor rooftop swimming pool with a BBQ and lawn area for guests to enjoy! This area is truly amazing with sweeping views over the main beach and coastline. There is also an outdoor spa pool, which is worth putting on your to do list once you arrive! Definitely make the time one evening to grab your signature beverage and find a good spot to watch the sunset from the rooftop pool / lawn area. Getting here earlier is recommended to get the best spots! It truly is a sight to behold and even if it just happens to be really busy that night you can always enjoy it from your room’s own balcony!

There are the usual amenities and facilities too, such as a fitness and workout area, saunas and a restaurant attached to the hotel, Zanzibar. There is even a family / games room with a pool table, which makes it enjoyable for everyone, whatever the weather is!

The staff are really helpful and can suggest a range of activities to do located within walking distance of the hotel. With plenty to experience within the hotel you can just imagine what there is to do outside of it!

No time for relaxing here, get outdoors!

Beautiful views of the Esplanade and Mooloolaba Beach

There is so much to do around the Mantra Hotel Mooloolaba Beach, that you should allocate at least two full days to go out and explore Mooloolaba. Directly opposite the hotel is the beach so make sure you take an enjoyable stroll to the end of the spit and see the Point Cartwright Lighthouse.

In the summer there are volleyball nets set up for people to use and the beach is well lit for use of the beach in the evenings.

Taking your camera and getting some shots of Mooloolaba from out on this walkway that extends out over the ocean is highly recommended. Within short walking distance there is plenty to do such as the Underwater World Aquarium, boat tours, shopping either at the Sunshine Plaza or along the Esplanade, as well as plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars.

If the views don't get you, the activities will!
