Skiing isn’t the only attraction here! This large resort hotel also has a fantastic view of Inawashiro Lake!
Hotel Listel Inawashiro boasts a spectacular view of Inawashiro Lake which is surrounded by Mt. Bandaisan. On the spacious grounds are a ski slope, tennis court, a camp site, and facilities for field athletics. These facilities make it a popular destination year round. The herb garden and the flower field are very impressive during the flowering season. Even if you aren’t into sports there are things to relish in to give you the resort feel you crave.
Getting here from Tokyo by car you would have to take the Tohoku Expressway to the Ban-etsu Expressway for 3 hours. If traveling by train you would take the Tohoku Shinkansen and it is about 2 and half hours. From the closest station of Inawashiro Station you can hop on the free shuttle bus making travel a breeze.
A guest room big enough for a family!
The hotel building is split into the Wing Tower and the Honkan Main Building. Wing Tower is a classic and elegant high rise hotel. The interior is European in design and the rooms and lobby have very impressive high ceilings. On the other hand the Honkan main building guest rooms are condominium type, with kitchens and are like rental cottages. For long term stays these are perfect.
For family stays the Wing Tower is recommended. With facilities such as the hot spring bath, pool, and amusement center it is extremely convenient. Also, from the Wing Tower you can look down at Inawashiro Lake in all its glory. The view from the top floor is simply breathtaking.
The room pictured above is the Deluxe Twin in the Wing Tower. Aside from the 2 large beds there is a sofa set in this spacious room. The beds are movable so you can put them together making staying here even with small children an easy stay.
There is also what is called the Oriental Twin which is a twin room with a Japanese room attached. If you are worried about infants falling off beds, they can sleep on the tatami mats in futons.
A must visit for kids! Have a snowball fight at Vegefull land!
The ski slope that opens up in front of the hotel is called Listel Ski Fantasia. A part of the slope is called Vegefull Land and is a slope just for kids. It is perfect for small kids to have fun in the snow.
Pictured above is the area with a fee. This area has standard sleds as well as trike like sleds that you can rent. To get to the top of the sled slope you can use the Vegefull Crawler. It is a slow moving conveyer belt that the kids and parents can ride up together. You can board this using a ski lift ticket. It is free for children under 2 but for children over 3 the price is as below.

At Hotel Listel Inawashiro there are many facilities that are fun for the whole family. For dinner have the buffet that the kids will love. As pictured above there is a kid’s buffet filled with items that kids will love like, fried chicken and French fries. The buffet tables are low so that the kids can choose and pick on their own.
For kids that are switching to baby food there is a section that sells baby food in the building. You can choose amongst a selection categorized by age, to pick the right one for your child. Baby food can get heavy so it is a tremendous help to be able to buy it at the hotel.
Also there is an amusement corner where your children can play with coin games as well as crane games. All of these combined will captivate your kids all day.

The onsen bath house is on the first floor, and the outdoor bath with a view is on the second connected in the bath area by stairs. There are changing rooms on the first and second floor but the second floor one is always empty so it’s best to use that one.
The hot spring water pool Kurhaus C’s is approved by the Minister of Health, Labour and Welfare as a Health Promotion through Onsen use Facility. It is an onsen world which utilizes the Inawashiro Onsen which flows on the hotel grounds.
