If you’re planning a trip to Jaipur, Rajasthan, India, you most likely want to be in a location that is in close proximity to the tourist attractions, local restaurants, shopping centers, and the markets. With a focus on being kind to your wallet, Hotel Amer View is a wonderful option to be your new home away from home.

Located in the historical district, and only 1.3 miles (2.2 kilometers) away from the stunning architectural forts (Amer/Amber, Jaigarh, and Nahargarh) you will be able to see more, and save money. Let me continue to share with you, the enhanced features of Hotel Amer View.

Creative interior with paintings throughout

Considered to be an Art Deco hotel, you will gain a sense of royalty as soon as you walk up to the doors. The beautiful cream and gold lit exterior will remind you of the many palaces you will see during your time in Jaipur and Amer. There are many large paintings that fill the hallways, and the architecture of the interior, especially the archways, and exterior were designed using inspiration from ancient Rajasthani styles.

Simple yet comfortable rooms

Making your way into your room, you will be delighted to know that you will have adequate space, with many amenities that are above the 3-star hotel standard. Among these include a conference and separate business center, an on-call doctor, and laundry facilities. Each of the rooms are decorated in their own unique style, though don’t forget to look up at the ceiling because it is painted with beautiful flower decorations that you do not usually see presented elsewhere.

The soft golden lighting and the dark wood finishes of the furniture are very comforting, and remind you of an antique show room. The bedding is up to par, and the staff will provide everything you need in order to achieve adequate rest: extra pillows, sheets, and heavy fleece blankets if you’re cold. The restrooms are pretty spacious and well maintained.

There is an attached bathtub with a separate shower area providing the use of hot water 24 hours a day. The only downside is that the hotel does not provide toiletries, so you will have to bring your own. However, for the price and location, this really should not be a deal breaker. Hotel Amer View provides rooms such as the standard non-AC room that averages at 850 INR (12.84 USD), and the deluxe room is 1100 INR (16.62 USD).

If you’re traveling with 3 people you may opt for the super deluxe room, which has an additional seating area and view of the mountains for 1800 INR (27.20 USD) per night. Though if you are traveling in a group of 4 to 8 you will love spending time in the suite room for an average of 2900 INR (43.83 USD), which has a lot more space, a separate living area, and you can request to have a view of Amer Fort.

Great restaurant with magnificent scenic views

After settling in, I’m sure you will be quite hungry from your journey. There are multiple restaurants on site that are capable of satisfying the pickiest of eaters. The Lavish Spread is a multi-cuisine restaurant that serves up a wide variety of comfort foods, including barbecue, Continental, and Chinese dishes. You can also choose to have your lunch or dinner from the Lavish Spread in your room.

If you prefer to dine on more savory, mouth-watering dishes, the Ethnic Restaurant is definitely for you. They serve wonderful options of fresh and tasty Chinese, Continental, and Mughlai cuisine. The Amer Roof Top Restaurant provides an excellent view of the mountainous surroundings, where you can enjoy traditional Indian dishes, such as Thali (a variety of tapas sized vegetarian meals), while gazing out at the ancient temples, the City Palace, and old havelis (traditional townhouses or mansions with elegant architecture).

Try to plan your visit during the cooler months

Please be aware that the price of the rooms may vary depending on the time of the year you are visiting. The peak season is from October until March, when the weather is still cool, whereas April through September the temperature can reach a blazing high of 45 degrees Celsius (113 degrees Fahrenheit).

If you would like to include a continental breakfast during your stay (toast, corn flakes, omelettes, fruit, coffee, tea), you should factor in an additional 200 INR (3.02 USD). The staff members are incredibly humble and are always happy to help you, whatever your need may be. They are able to help you set up tours throughout the city, however, there is not an airport transfer service, so you will have to book your own taxi back and forth (roughly a 30 minute drive).

If you’re ready to venture out into the city, you will be delighted to know you are only 5 miles (8.04 kilometers) away from the hustle and bustle of Jaipur’s main attractions, including the local outdoor shopping markets!
