The name of the hotel “Just Sleep” is rather unique, but this hotel is definitely not just a place for sleeping. This hotel chain has several branches around Taiwan, including 3 in Taipei City; 1 in Jiaoxi; 1 in Hualien and the latest branch in Kao Siung.

Each deluxe / superior room comes with a luxurious large bed that you cannot resist jumping on upon arrival. The rooms are modernly designed and the bathroom mirrors have adorable snoring symbols on them. Bottled water is provided on a daily basis; these plastic bottles are not the usual round bottles, but are in unique rectangular shapes which makes them good hotel souvenirs to bring home!

Space-saving clothes hanger that is simply adorable

Unlike conventional hotel rooms, which come with a wardrobe, there is no wardrobe in the room at Just Sleep. A super cute space-saving area shaped like a human, is available with hangers to hang your clothing. Unfortunately, it can fit only 6 - 8 pieces at the maximum, so do sort out your clothing to create a neat and comfortable environment for yourself.

The hotel offers a good variety of TV channels in various languages so you could chill in your room after a long day out.

A good buffet breakfast spread

Just Sleep offers a good spread from pastries and salad to scrambled eggs, as well as coffee and tea. Breakfast is on level 5 at the Just Cafe from 7.30am – 10.30am. The black tiles of this cafe create a sophisticated overall look, which makes it welcoming. 9am -10am is usually the most crowded period, but there are still sufficient dining tables in the cafe.

The cafe prepares a cute bun (Gong Zheng Bun) in the shape of a duckling for breakfast. This is a famous food from Hualien, Taiwan, which is tasty and adorable, so remember to take a selfie first before swallowing it!

Visitors can take exit 5 from Ximen Station and the hotel is just steps away! Just Sleep is located in the same building as Green World Hotel, so take a few more steps after Green World Hotel’s lobby until you see a convenience mart. The lobby for Just Sleep is just beside the convenience mart (7-11) so you can grab drinks and snacks easily late at night.

Check-in is swift and the staff is extremely polite. You can ask the staff for sightseeing recommendations if you have no plan for the day! The reception is open 24 hours so you can always reach out to them if you require any assistance during your stay.

Your shopping experience starts just opposite the street

From the hotel, simply cross the road and you will be in Ximending shopping district, where you can start your shopping from the rows of fashionable shops there. Ximending is a popular destination for local youths because you can find cheap deals for apparels, shoes, and cute soft toys.

It is also a good place to start savouring the local street snacks from the shops. When night falls, streets vendors will start setting up their temporary stalls along the road too and you can try out numerous street snacks without leaving the area.
