Situated 2800 meters (9186 feet) above sea level, Kufri Fun World is one of the world’s most beautiful amusement parks. Picturesque scenery combined with fun rides is what you will find here. Never had the chance of riding a swinging boat and a merry-go-round at the top of a mountain? Now you can at this theme park!

Try all the rides

One of the things the amusement park is famous for is the highest go-kart track on the planet, which is located at the top of Mahasu peak. The excitement of going on the rides is heightened by stunning views of the mountains. Don’t be surprised to find that the queue for the famous go-kart ride is long.

For added fun, challenge your friends to a race and see how fast you can complete the course. Be sure to try the other gentler rides, such as merry-go-round and swings. Once you’re done trying all the rides, take some time to relax in the canteen while appreciating the magnificent views of the Himalayas.

Try horse riding

Other than trying the rides, visitors usually make time to try horse riding in Kufri. Unless you’re an experienced horse rider, we recommend you to ask for a guide to accompany you. This is because the trail can be difficult and dangerous to navigate for an inexperienced rider. Also, more than just a recreational activity, horse riding is the locals’ main income source. If you come here in the morning, you’ll see locals from nearby villages start preparing their horses before the sun has even peaked.

Beware of tourist scams

If you’re a foreign tourist, never go alone. Bring along a trusted local guide because some locals charge tourists with an overly expensive price for basic services such as a pickup-ride from the bottom of the mountain to the theme park. Having a local as your guide is also helpful when you try to haggle while shopping or asking for directions.

Bring your own snow attire

Unless you’re ready to spend a hefty price for boots, coat, and other warm clothing items, make sure that you’re dressed thoroughly to face the cold weather. Otherwise, you’ll have to borrow from the store, which may be quite expensive.
