Tip from Content Creator
Stop by the Acropolis during your stay in this villa. It's an ancient citadel that consists of several important buildings such as the Parthenon and the Temple of Athena Nike. It’s iconic to Greece and it’s history. Here’s everything you need to know when planning your visit:
1. Buy your tickets beforehand. Tickets shouldn’t cost more than 20 EUR (21.22 USD), but if you wait until the day of to purchase your entry ticket, you’ll risk tickets being sold out or having to wait around for a specific time slot to get in.
2. Select an earlier time to visit the Acropolis. Usually, early in the morning is better and you will deal with fewer crowds. It's usually open from 8 am to 8 pm, so avoid going during the middle of the day.
3. Don’t expect to have the place to yourself if you’re visiting during peak season (April to October). This monument attracts crowds daily.
4. Enter through the south entrance instead of the main entrance, as it’s less crowded.
5. The walk up to the entrance is steep, so be prepared to get your steps in for the day. But you’ll be rewarded with an amazing view at the top!
6. A tour guide isn’t necessary, but if you’re a history buff and want more of the details, there are plenty of tour options to choose from that run daily.
7. Take pictures of everything! It’s an amazing thing to see with your own eyes, but make sure you capture the moment to remember forever.
