When booking a hotel, the most important thing to me is the location, and the Mercure Paris Centre Eiffel Tower Hotel delivers this perfectly. It is undeniably a fantastic 4-star hotel with colourful and bright decor coupled with some fabulous little touches that make your stay that little bit more special. However, before I tell you about the perfect location, I want to tell you about what’s happening inside this chic hotel that will make you not only want to visit it but return, too.

Funky and fun surroundings

The Mercure Paris Centre Eiffel Tower Hotel has 7 different types of rooms of varying prices. The standard room with a double bed for 1 night costs approximately 191 EUR (210 USD) and the cost of a junior privilege suite for 1 night costs approximately 247 EUR (272 USD). Whilst the cost of such a suite is expensive, it’s definitely worth it when you see the beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower, which is the the most well known site in Paris!

The hotel also has a wonderful restaurant which is showered with natural light and is an excellent place in which to start your day with breakfast. The cost of breakfast is approximately 20 EUR (22 USD) and is good value for money in comparison to the Parisian cafes located in the vicinity. However, if you’re a vegetarian, I would have to warn you that there are not many hot options available for you, so if you want a hearty warm breakfast, perhaps another location would be more suitable.

If you’re not interested in dining in the restaurant but would like to have a hot or cold drink in an exciting and quirky environment, then you must head over to the lounge bar on the first floor and it won’t disappoint! The lounge bar is filled with furniture of different types, sizes and heights which is fitting for all circumstances. Whether you want to do some work and need a table and chair or if you want to have a snuggle-up with someone you love, you will definitely find a spot that works for you.

If, like me, you are a fitness fanatic, you will be pleased to know that the hotel has a fitness centre which includes cardio and resistance equipment. However, it is quite small and the resistance equipment does need to be upgraded. The views from the fitness centre are wonderful as you can see the Eiffel Tower; although it is a shame that the equipment is not actually facing that special view!

Little things that make a big impact

Whilst you expect to feel special in a 4-star establishment, there are certain little things at the Mercure Paris Centre Eiffel Tower Hotel that truly and unexpectedly enhance your experience.

From the moment you check in, you will be greeted by a very helpful and friendly reception team who will treat you to a little gift upon your arrival! You and your fellow guests will each receive a cute little Eiffel Tower keychain to start your experience. The gifts don’t stop at the reception and you will be pleasantly surprised that when you enter your room or suite, you will be treated to some delish dark chocolates by your bedside.

My favourite little thing during my experience would have to be the aromatherapy shower capsules which made showering become a whole new experience! I have stayed in 4- and 5-star establishments around the world and have not seen this before and it was an exciting discovery in the bathroom. The scented capsule is placed into a small slot where it connects with the shower pump and scents the water that you are bathing in. It took showering to another level and I could only wish that my shower at home had such functionalities!

A breathtaking and iconic view

I told you at the beginning of this article that the location of a hotel is the most important thing to me and as you can see from the photograph, the Mercure Paris Centre Eiffel Tower Hotel has a beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower and is in close proximity to it, too. It takes less than five minutes to walk to this iconic Parisian feature and this hotel is a must-stay-in if you’re only in Paris for a short period of time. The hotel is located right next to the Champs de Mars and is in close proximity to many museums, famous monuments and the River Seine, all of which are within walking distance. If you don’t fancy walking, there is an abundance of different types of transportation that are very close to the hotel, including taxis, bicycles and even a horse and carriage under the Eiffel Tower.

Save some time for shopping too

If you’re travelling for pleasure, then the Mercure Paris Centre Eiffel Tower Hotel is fantastic because you can see so much of Paris in a short period of time due to its perfect location and transportation links. For business travellers, this hotel can also deliver as it has consistently strong Wi-Fi available and also state-of-the-art Apple computers in its lounge bar which are available for guests to use. Whilst I loved seeing the Eiffel Tower, I also loved the Beaugrenelle Shopping Mall which was only a ten minute walk away from the hotel and had some fantastic places to shop and also eat, so make sure you save some time to visit it too!
