There are plenty of things to do at Morgan’s Wonderland, and what makes this park so delightful is that it has over 25 attractions that can be accessed in a wheelchair too! Here’s a look at some things you can do during your excursion.

Sensory Village

This zone is great for encouraging children and adults alike to unleash their creativity. Guests can ride the Equicizer horse at Saddle-Up Stable, which is pretty close to the real deal! You can design a customized car at the auto Fix-It Shop and even take it for a simulated spin! Go on a shopping spree at Village Market, and let your imagination reign supreme as you pick up groceries. There’s even an area where guests can watch themselves on TV as they do a weather forecast!

Butterfly Playground

This butterfly-themed area is perfect for children and adults alike as it has plenty of swings. You don’t need to worry about your child getting hurt as the play area has a rubberized surface. It is also quite colorful, making it a favorite of kids! This spot is shaded, so you will be safe from the sun too!

Wonderland Express

Hop on Wonderland Express and enjoy the train ride, which takes you around the amusement park. You’ll need to board the train from the station, which is done up in 1930s style. The ramps are wheelchair-accessible, so getting on the train is easy. Soak up the views as you circle around the lake and enjoy time with the family!

Whirling Wonder

Ride Whirling Wonder, a Ferris wheel that offers a bird’s-eye view of the theme park. This ride is adjacent to Starlight Amphitheater and stands five stories high. It is quite colorful and has 12 gondolas where both kids and adults can sit easily, including those in a wheelchair.

WaterWorks

Kids will have a grand time splashing around in WaterWorks. There are four play pods here, and each of these pods can be accessed in a wheelchair too. There are also 10 play elements that guests can engage in as they splash away in delight!

Wheelchair Swings

Guests who are wheelchair-bound will enjoy soaring in the air as they ride Wheelchair Swings and whoop in glee! There are nearly 30 adaptive or traditional swings in this area, including wheelchair ones!

Pirates Island

The little and not-so-little buccaneers will have a fantastic time at Pirates Island, which is near The Wharf. This playground is perfect for igniting the imagination as guests immerse themselves in the world of pirates! The surface is rubberized, so guests are safe.

Starlight Amphitheater

Guests can also visit Starlight Amphitheater and enjoy performances here. Explore the delights of Music Garden as you create your own special tunes, or build sandcastles at Sand Circle. You can then walk down The Wharf and enjoy the sunshine or go fishing in the lake.

When to visit

The park is seasonal and remains closed in January and February, so make sure you plan your outing accordingly. Moreover, the opening and closing times of the park fluctuate throughout the year depending on the season, so always check the schedules beforehand. Also, if the weather is unfavorable, Morgan’s Wonderland may stay closed. The best months to visit are from May to mid-September.

Is the park wheelchair accessible?

Yes, there are wheelchair ramps throughout the site for differently abled children and adults to get around easily. Furthermore, the park is also stroller accessible.

Take the bus

You can take a bus to Morgan’s Wonderland from most parts of San Antonio. Bus no. 502 is the one that passes most routes. It will take you approximately 60 minutes or less depending on where you board.

Take the train

You can take a train to Thousand Oaks and Chapala Way, and from here, Morgan’s Wonderland is just a 13-minute walk.

Drive

You can drive down to Morgan’s Wonderland by renting a car or using your own vehicle.
