Although Iceland is super cold as it is surrounded by ice, the country also has summer season and you can see sunlight too. This is one of the most beautiful national parks in the world. Besides, the glaciers, as well as the flora and fauna in Skaftafell National Park, are totally magical and amazing.

In 2008, the national park became part of Vatnajokull National Park, which is another popular attraction in Iceland. Located on the northern side of the South Island’s west coast is Paparoa National Park. This is another national park you must visit in a lifetime. Its weird ‘pancake-stack’ coastal formations are a big crowd-puller to this attraction.

If you decide to come to this national park, you need to inform the tourist information center as this place is not for everyone due to its rough and dangerous terrains. Get ready to explore the unique underground streams, limestone cliffs, beautiful caves and majestic canyons while you are here. Greenland only has one national park, which is the Northeast Greenland National Park. It is the largest national park in the world and visitors as well as tourists must come and visit this national park. Due to its weather and natural landscapes, not many people have visited this national park as it is surrounded by glaciers, volcanoes, and icebergs.

You need to really plan and think in advance if you are coming to this national park. It is not just mere physical and mental preparation. Since the country is located near the Arctic Circle, you will come across walruses, polar bears, musk oxen and other Arctic wildlife. Do not forget to bring your winter clothing and survival kit.

The national park was designated as a World Heritage Site in 1984 and has numerous crowd-pullers that are worth a visit. Not many people know that Costa Rica also has a volcano national park. Located in the central part of Costa Rica, this is another national park you should include in your list. It is a popular spot for bird watching as there are various species of birds in the national park.

Among them is the endangered resplendent quetzal, which can only be found in the country. While you are here, why not stay at one of observatory type lodges and enjoy the beautiful sunrise? Hot springs, waterfalls and the lagoon will also surprise you as they are totally beautiful and awesome. 9. Komodo National Park in Indonesia

There are three islands in Indonesia, where you can have a closer look at the Komodo dragon. They are the Rinca, Komodo and Padar islands. Although the name of the park is Komodo, you can see various other wildlife. You should not get too close to the Komodo dragon as its saliva is contagious and harmful to humans.

10. Banff National Park in Canada
