Park Inn by Radisson Pribaltiyskaya Hotel is a huge and imposing hotel. Sitting right on the Gulf of Finland, you need only walk to the rear of the hotel to enjoy great views over the water. St Petersburg’s biggest conferencing hotel, with a large banqueting hall and 26 meeting rooms, it is a popular choice with corporate guests as well as travellers.

The hotel might not be right in the heart of St Petersburg, situated in Vasileostrovsky District, but the city centre is easy to reach by public transportation. Sitting on Vasilievsky / Vasilyevsky Island, St Petersburg city centre is just around 8 kilometres (5 miles) from the hotel. You can enjoy great city access, whilst being able to retreat away from the chaos at the end of each fun-filled day.

A large hotel with many comfortable rooms

Park Inn by Radisson Pribaltiyskaya Hotel has more than 1,100 rooms and suites throughout its gigantic building. Lifts connect the different floors.

The vast majority of rooms are Standard Rooms. Suitable for two people, you can choose between one king-sized bed or two single beds. This room type costs around 5,900 RUB (approximately 75.50 USD) per night. Rooms feature a private bathroom with essential toiletries, satellite TV, and ample storage space in the wardrobes and drawers. You can relax and chat at the table and chairs. Inter-connected rooms are available on request (subject to availability).

Some rooms have been renovated, with bright and cheerful décor, complementary bed linen and curtains, modern furnishings, and attractive wall pictures. There are also un-renovated rooms, which aren’t as pretty.

Whilst the original rooms are clean and comfortable, aesthetically, they are not so attractive. The drab colours make the rooms feel quite dim, and the décor really plays up to the stereotypes of a communist-era establishment. Old-fashioned and quite shabby, it appears that these rooms are most commonly used for tour groups. Nonetheless, you can still enjoy a good night’s sleep – who cares about décor when their eyes are closed?!

A few rooms have been adapted so as to be fully wheelchair accessible.

If you want more comfort and convenience, the hotel also has 20 Superior Rooms. For around 7,900 RUB (approximately 101 USD) per night, you will find additional features like a mini refrigerator, a hair dryer, a table and chairs, and a telephone. Catch up on some emails at the desk and get comfy in the provided slippers and bath robes. Tea and coffee making facilities help you to start your day on just the right note!

If you’re looking for even more luxury and space, why not consider a stay in one of the suites? There are 39 Junior Suites, with a separate bedroom and a sofa bed in the living room, complimentary drinking water, and an in-room safe. There are also 14 Duplex Suites. Spread over two levels, you can access your suite from each level. The lower floor has a large lounge, a kitchenette, a study area, and a bathroom, whilst the upper floor has a further bathroom and a bedroom. Suites start from 11,220 RUB (approximately 148.50 USD) per night.

Great hotel facilities for a comfortable stay

Free standard Wi-Fi access is available throughout the hotel. Ideal for checking emails and browsing, you can also use the opportunity to catch up with a bit of work. If you require a faster connection, for example, an important Skype call or snuggling down to watch movies in your room, there is also the option to pay a small fee for a premium service and obtain more bandwidth.

A filling buffet breakfast is included each morning, with a wide selection of items to choose between. Whether you want to fill up on a variety of tasty breads and pastries, enjoy a healthier option of fruit, fancy a bowl of cereal, or enjoy cooked dishes like eggs and potatoes, there are certainly plenty of choices in the Park Inn Restaurant.

RBG Bar & Grill offers a tasty international menu throughout the day. Dishes include burgers, pasta, sandwiches, and salads. Alternatively, try a local dish for some hearty Russian flavours. Favourites include dumplings and borscht (beetroot soup with sour cream). Head to the Lounge Bar and relax over a drink – just be careful not to go wild on the Russian vodka!

If you’re feeling a bit lazy, want some private time, or get an attack of the midnight munchies, you can order something from the round-the-clock room service menu.

Laundry, dry-cleaning, and ironing services are available to keep you looking at your best, and the hotel also has a modern fitness centre and a business centre. You can buy some last minute souvenirs in the gift shop, and currency exchange services are available. Reception is open 24 hours, and you can book tours and transportation with the helpful members of staff.

Enjoying the best of St Petersburg

The stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site of St Petersburg is the former home of the mighty Tsars and the second-biggest city in all of Russia. A beautiful city, it offers many exciting attractions and activities.

Many visitors to St Petersburg cannot resist the allure of the opulent Winter Palace, its grand facades containing one of the world’s finest museums – the magnificent Hermitage Museum. With more than three million sublime pieces of artwork, it really is a place to savour.

Another top St Petersburg Museum is the fabulous Russian Museum, housed within several marvellous buildings, including the eye-catching Mikhailovsky Palace.

See where many renowned composers have been buried at Alexander Nevsky Monastery, admire the beautiful Peter and Paul Fortress, visit the place where Tsar Alexander II met his brutal end – the impressive Church of the Saviour on Spilled Blood, and enjoy an evening of ballet or opera at the world-class Mariinsky Theater.

A bit closer to home, on Vasilievsky / Vasilyevsky Island, soak up the lavish grandeur of Andreyevsky Cathedral, see the ancient Theban Sphinxes, and enjoy art in the gorgeous Menshikov Palace.

The closest metro station, Primorskaya, is around 1.5 kilometres (0.9 miles) from Park Inn by Radisson Pribaltiyskaya Hotel, and regular public buses operate from along the main road in front of the hotel. You can also make use of the hotel’s free city shuttle service; enquire at reception for times and drop-off / pick-up locations.

Other reasons to stay at the enormous Park Inn by Radisson Pribaltiyskaya Hotel

The large LenExpo convention centre is just two kilometres (1.2 miles) from the hotel, providing easy access for event attendees.

You’ll find a 24-hour supermarket just a few paces from the hotel’s front door. Grab a small jar of caviar, some Russian beers, snacks, or local souvenirs. In nice weather you could take a small picnic and sit on the steps overlooking the Bay of Finland.

The hotel has a car park (daily rates apply) and there are some interesting World War II statues in front of the parking area.

Enjoy good facilities in a handy location and book your stay at Park Inn by Radisson Pribaltiyskaya Hotel.
