The interior of this beguiling museum consists of over 100 rooms, including bedrooms, recreational rooms, living rooms, and the majestic royal quarters of ladies. The interior has tiny details of sophisticated glass artwork and other Rajasthani royal elements. The courtyard of the palace usually holds evening cultural shows, where you can enjoy folkloric performances.

f you're visiting Udaipur with your better half, be sure to visit this beautiful mansion, which is now converted into a museum. Inside, several rooms display portraits, utensils, artifacts, and paintings of its former residents. You can also check the turban room, which houses various colorful turbans in different styles worn by the people of Rajasthan. There's also a separate gallery where you can view life-size statues depicting the rituals of a Rajput wedding. The entry fee to Bagore Ki Haveli is 80 INR (0.96 USD) per person. The main highlight is the Dharohar show, a folk dance and puppet show held every evening between 7pm and 8pm. The price for this show is 100 INR (1.21 USD), and you can buy the tickets from the counter from 6:15pm onwards.
3. Jagdish Temple
The Jagdish Temple serves as a great opportunity to see intricate stone artwork dedicated to the Hindu pantheon. Located in the City Palace complex, in the center of Udaipur, the Jagdish Temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu (Laxmi Narayana), who is the preserver of the Hindu trinity. The temple was built between 1628 and 1653 and has several richly textured pillars, mystical corridors, and exquisite rooftops. At the entrance, you will be welcomed by the two huge elephant statues and, as you wander inside the complex, you will discover mythical characters, such as the half man and half bird statue.

4. Lake Pichola
The glistening Lake Pichola is an idyllic attraction, where couples can book a romantic boat trip to see the historical buildings, hotels, and complexes of the coast. This popular lake is about four kilometers long (2.5 miles) and three kilometers wide (1.9 miles), offering majestic views of the pale blue mountain ranges. The man-made freshwater lake was built in 1362 AD by the then royal family in order to prevent a flood in the nearby village of Picholi. There are several cruise tours organized here, where you can also visit other nearby attractions, such as Jagmandir Island.

5. Saheliyon-ki-Bari
One of the romantic must-visit places in Udaipur is the enchanting fountain garden of Saheliyon-Ki-Bari, which literally means the Courtyard or Garden of the Maidens. Tucked away on the banks of Fateh Sagar Lake, this lush green garden was built by Maharana Sangram between 1710 and 1734, as a place of leisure for the queen and royal women. The attraction serves as an ideal spot to take some interesting photos of the numerous fountains, beautifully-designed kiosks, lotus pool, and marble elephants. There is a museum here, as well, where you will learn some amazing historical facts about the location.

6. Fateh Sagar Lake
Just a kilometer (0.6 miles) to the north of Lake Pichola lies the sublime Fateh Sagar Lake, which is another artificial lake built in the 1680s. The lake is named after Maharana Fateh Singh and was initially built to source irrigation water to nearby villages. Today it is considered the second main source of drinking water in Udaipur. The lake has a scenic view, from where one can appreciate the awe-inspiring, majestic Aravalli mountains. You can either opt for a unique camel ride or boat trip. Take a visit to Nehru Park, which is a garden island right in the middle of the lake.

Visit the Chowpatty and various food stalls near Fateh Sagar Lake in the evening, which begins after the Circuit House. If you're visiting here in the winter season, be sure to try the Malai Doodh (flavored milk with thick cream and served hot) in a kulhad (earthen cup). A little further, there are also some fun games and rides for the kids. If you're here with your date, you can visit one of the eateries or cafés and enjoy chats along with the beautiful lake view.
7. Ambrai Ghat
If you wish to witness the marvelous beauty of a sunrise or sunset near a gorgeous lake in Udaipur, you must head to the Ambrai Ghat, located near the waterfront of Lake Pichola. Here, you can contemplate the scenic view of shimmering Lake Pichola, along with the majestic City Palace and the interesting fauna of the area, which includes birds. Locals usually enjoy a refreshing plunge in the lake in the early morning.

8. Doodh Talai Lake
Bask in the scenic view of Doodh Talai Lake, surrounded by verdant, rolling hills. This blissful sanctuary is filled with some tourist attractions, such as the sacred temple of the goddess Karni, which is perched on a hillock, the Manikya Lal Verma Garden, and Deen Dayal Upadhyay Park, which are worth paying a visit. You can reach this lake by taking a local taxi or tonga from the city center.

9. Gangaur Ghat
Another interesting location to consider visiting during the months of March or April is the Gangaur Ghat, when you will have the chance to witness the Gangaur Festival, celebrated by the local women. The festival consists of a traditional procession starting from the City Palace, where visitors will be able to see live folk performances by locals, chariots, bullock carts, and gorgeous, old palanquins. Eventually, idols brought by the procession are immersed in Lake Pichola. The Gangaur Ghat lies in close proximity to Jagdish Chowk, overlooking Lake Pichola.

Gangaur Ghat is my favorite romantic spot in Udaipur. Located right behind Bagore Ki Haveli, this serene place is where you can spend hours watching the calm water in complete peace. There's a small temple near the ghat, and behind it are narrow alleys, which house several quaint cafés and eateries to savor delicious food with your lover. The entry is free, and the best time to visit here is before sunset.
10. City Palace Udaipur
One of the main attractions in Udaipur is the City Palace, a huge, white-washed historical complex made of granite and beautiful white marble, nestled on the eastern coast of Lake Pichola. This historical royal complex was built around 400 years ago, initially by Maharana Udai Singh II and then by several rulers of the Mewar Dynasty, at a later stage. The complex is composed of beautiful and intricate interiors, which are influenced by Rajasthani and Mughal elements. Visitors will be able to feast their eyes on the incredible view of the surroundings, including the Aravali mountain range and glistening Lake Pichola.
