Modern decor and comfy beds (from USD 126)
The well-proportioned room is decorated in Mediterranean colors of white and blue, with modern touches. The double bed, made up with white cotton sheets is as comfortable as can be. That together with the quiet that the hotel affords provided me with the best night’s sleep I have had in months. In addition to the double bed there is a sofa bed that opens up as an additional bed for a third person or child. At the time of this writing, there is no extra charge for a child in the parent’s room. Aside from comfy bed and sofa, the room has a good sized closet, drawers and a safe. In addition there is a small refrigerator, kettle, and all the makings for a cup of coffee or tea, including cream and sugar. Upon arrival we received a complimentary bottle of mineral water and a plate of fruits.

Service with a Cypriot smile
The staff at the Island Boutique Hotel couldn’t be nicer. They welcomed us with a smile and a glass of homemade lemonade, despite the late hour of our arrival. They were very accommodating with any requests or questions we had. Every time we entered the hotel we received a friendly welcome, and after two days, the staff felt like family. The service staff in the hotel restaurant were exceptionally responsive, friendly and helpful as well.
Breakfast and more
Breakfast was part of the room package and was served on the open-air patio that leads out onto the beach. The décor in sparkling white is attractive and offsets the azure blue of the sea just meters from your table. The buffet breakfast is extensive catering to all palates. It includes vegan and vegetarian fare as well as a complete English breakfast with all the trimmings. Greek yoghurt, feta cheese and Cypriot olives provide local fare as well. Fresh fruit abounds, as do fresh rolls and croissants. While there is a coffee machine for self-serve coffee, excellent espresso and cappuccino are available at no extra charge. Lunch and dinner are served as well, and the menu is varied and prices are reasonable.
Beach, beach, beach
Because the Island Boutique Hotel is located on the beach, all you need to do is step off the restaurant patio and voila, you are there! The hotel provides beach umbrellas and lounge chairs for its guests. Because of where the hotel is situated, the water tends to be very calm and shallow, which is an added boon if you are traveling with children. Beach towels are provided at the front lobby and can be changed every day.
Fitness and spa
While this is a very small, intimate hotel, provisions have been made for the sports conscious visitors. A sports center, Total Fit, located just a two minute walk from the hotel, is included in the hotel stay at no extra charge. The Total Fit center has an exercise room filled with treadmills, cross trainers, exercise bikes, weights and more. A full-sized indoor pool rounds out the services available at Total Fit. Here too the staff was friendly and welcomed us with a smile. Spa services are available at a nearby spa, although we were unable to book a massage on the day we requested.
A beautiful boutique hotel for a quiet, romantic stay
The Island Boutique Hotel is a wonderful choice for a romantic beach vacation for two. If bringing along a child or two will not disturb your equilibrium, the hotel is accommodating to your children as well. Beautiful décor, friendly smiles, accommodating staff, delicious food, and a wonderful beach are the perfect ingredients for a wonderful vacation in the sun.
