Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort is a big resort, situated on more than 5 hectares (12.36 acres) of land with a C-shaped multi-story building facing Kuta Beach. The ocean can be seen from most areas of the resort, including the restaurants, lobby, swimming pool area and all of the rooms.

The hotel is strategically located in one of the most popular tourist spots in Kuta. In addition to it being adjacent to one of the most upscale shopping malls in the area, Beachwalk Mall, it is also located opposite Kuta Beach, one of Bali’s more popular tourist spots.

Oasis in the center of Kuta

Kuta is perhaps one of the busiest tourist spots on this planet. It has all sorts of hustle and bustle from tourism, especially in the Kuta Beach area, where street vendors and many shops, bars, and pubs are concentrated.

Despite its bustling location, staying at the Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort is very peaceful and serene. This is perhaps because this resort is large and the building is located away from the busy streets. This is truly a resort for visitors who want to stay centrally in Kuta, but want a piece of serenity as well.

Upon arrival

As you arrive at the hotel’s main entrance, an escalator will take you up to the lobby. In the lobby, you will immediately be welcomed with a cold welcome drink (iced lemon tea). The lobby is large and unique because of its impressive open-air layout and its views overlooking the ocean. The lobby is very luxurious with its fast elevators, sparkling floors, artificial silver flowers and a metallic golden wall with running water and more. Additionally, there are many comfortable chairs throughout the lobby, making it a pleasant experience when you’re waiting for a taxi, checking in or out, or meeting up with friends.

Modern room with an ocean view

There are 203 guest rooms in the hotel. Each room and its private bathroom are spacious and spotlessly clean, and are equipped with a plasma TV (there 2 in the suite!), cold air conditioning and complimentary slippers, bottled water, and very fast Wi-Fi.

The bathroom is large and clean, and inside you will find luxurious toiletries (Sheraton’s own brand). The bathtub is near the bathroom’s door, making it possible for you to watch TV while bathing.

Each room, including the Deluxe Ocean room (2,346,500 IDR / 179.26 USD) has a large balcony with a view of the ocean. Nothing is better than starting your day sitting on the large balcony while enjoying your Illy Italian coffee, made using your room’s digital espresso machine.

Daily complimentary cake

When was the last time you stayed in a hotel that gave you complimentary cake daily? This is what makes Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort so special. Besides the above mentioned amenities, you will receive a tray of assorted cake (usually chocolate cake) delivered to your room every afternoon! Where else you can get such a treat? Another special touch are the animals that are created using towels, which are made daily by the hotel’s talented service staff.

5-star breakfast, lunch and dinner

Breakfast (included in the rate) is always associated with simple and light food. Nevertheless, if you stay in a 5-star resort like Sheraton Bali Kuta Resort, you will definitely expect much more than that. You can have a scrumptious breakfast buffet in Feast Restaurant, located on the ground floor. The restaurant offers an extensive selection of Indonesian (I recommend their savory oxtail soup!) and intercontinental food, including some food that you don’t normally eat for breakfast such as sushi and ice cream.

For lunch and dinner, there are choices of restaurants, including Bene, an Italian restaurant, which has a great view of the ocean. Bene serves many different selections of pasta and wines. If you happen to be in the hotel on Sunday, don’t miss the Sunday special lunch called Market Brunch at Feast Restaurant from 12 pm to 3 pm in one of the hotel’s open-air areas. At the Market Brunch, you can enjoy live music (they play mostly Western songs) and children can play in the nearby playground. They serve great barbecued foods. Also, their steaks, grilled crab, and salads are flawless.

24-hour swimming pool and gym

Spending your whole evening in the hotel? Fret not, as there are more things to do other than just spending your time watching TV or browsing the internet inside your room. You can actually workout at any time you want, as the gym and swimming pool are open 24 hours a day!

Located on the rooftop, the swimming pool (named Infinity Pool) has a great ambience, where you get great views of the beach and the ocean. Who can resist enjoying the sunset while having a cold glass of sangria (a perfect drink of red wine and fruits)! Other amenities include a spa (Shine Spa) and gym, which are also located in the pool area.
