With its mixture of gothic architectures, Renaissance palaces, Turkish remnants and Baroque-style buildings, Budapest can be defined as an architectural paradise. Besides the numerous sightseeing attractions that the capital of Hungary offers, Budapest has become more and more known for its nightlife and its great variety of bars and clubs and it is one of the most popular destinations for young travelers.

If you’re looking for a cozy nest to spend the weekend with some friends, don’t miss the chance to stay at Csokay’s apartment!

Well-equipped kitchen and comfortable living room

Once you get to Csokay’s apartment, you will be welcomed by the host in a great common room that faces a Hungarian inner garden with typical Baroque-style arches, small sculptures and decorations.

The room is very big and very nicely furnished: there are two big couches, a TV and a DVD player, a low table and a big library. The apartment has unlimited Wifi and an XBOX 360 for the happiness of all game lovers.

On the main side of the room you can find a brand new kitchen which is very well equipped and organized. There is a big fridge and freezer, an electric cooker, an oven, a toaster and tea pot, plus a variety of kitchen tools and dishes for 12 people.

Finally, there is a big table that can fit up to six people.

You will be able to cheer to your vacation with fancy wine glasses and cook the best meal for yourself and your friends!

Two spacious and comfortable bedrooms

The Small Bedroom

The apartment has two bedrooms: one is bigger and has three beds while the other one has two beds. The number of beds is therefore five, but the owner provides extra covers and pillows to fit comfortably a sixth person. Indeed, the couches in the living room are very big and soft and can also guarantee some good sleep! The price for the entire apartment is about 60 EUR per night (approximately 65 USD), which I find a very fair price for such a big and well equipped place.

The way the rooms are set up is very nice and will make you feel at ease. The owner really paid attention to the design and the details of the rooms and you will feel at home at first sight. The walls are adorned with beautiful copies of the most famous paintings by the Austrian symbolist painter Klimt, and there are candles and small cute chests on each bedside table. The beds come with matching covers and pillows, which make the atmosphere of the rooms really nice and relaxing.

Everything you might need is provided. You won’t have to worry about bringing bed sheets or pillows with you.

A big bathroom with bath tub and washing machine

The apartment has one spacious ceramic-floored bathroom in between the two rooms. Once again, you will find everything you need and more! There are big towels provided for every person, a washing machine, toilet, sink and a big bath tub. The bathroom is adorned to the detail: there are candles on the shelves, small baskets where you can keep your jewelry, a big chest for dirty clothes, a trash can and a big mirror with lights.

There is plenty of hot water so you won’t have to worry about taking turns for showers. Here you will be able to take a break from the everyday life and relax!

Ideal location for sightseeing and nightlife!

View From The Danube

Budapest was originally split in two main parts: Buda, which is the historical part of the city, and Pest, which is the new and modern part.

The apartment is located in Pest, while Buda is right on the other side of the Danube.

The apartment’s district is called Belvaros and it is one of the most popular areas of Budapest. Jump into Budapest’s heart: here you’ll find a multiplicity of cafés, bars and restaurants. Vàci utca, a long street with luxury shops and restaurants, will give you a pleasurable time in the city! Belvaros is indeed one of the youngest areas in Budapest and the most frequented because of its variety of bars, pubs and night clubs.

Everything is very close to the apartment: both Buda and the modern Pest can be reached within a 15-minute walk and they are connected by the famous Chain Bridge, which offers a great view of the Danube and the city.

You will be able to visit all the historical beauties of Budapest, like the Citadel or the Buda Castle District, with a short walk from the apartment.

There are many walking tours on offer and the beautiful Buda Castle can also be visited. Don’t miss the chance to capture the breathtaking view from the hill where the Buda Castle is located!

The Hungarian Parliament building is also located close to the apartment: you can take a nice walk on the riverside and reach it within 15 minutes.

In 10 to 15 minutes it is possible to reach St. Stephen’s Basilica, the Hungarian State Opera House, the Dohàny Street Synagogue and many more interesting points! The apartment is also well connected to the subway. The closest stations are Fővám tér and Ferenciek Tere, where you can catch the M4 and the M3.

As a 100% Budapest born, it was something natural to be a local guide and show my lovely city to foreigners. I am oficially an economist but to be honest, i have never worked in that sector. I much more prefer explaining our history and the present life of locals to you. You can chat with me in English and Spanish, in both languages:)

Born in Paris to Hungarian/ French parents, I moved to Budapest in the 2000s. After having driven my Fashion business to catastrophe, I turned my craving for the wonderful, endless discovery of Budapest into my number one activity, and the first I am so passionate about. As a licensed and qualified tourist guide, I tend to show my guests things they wouldn’t find on their own. My bicultural background is also an advantage as it gives me multiple perspectives to understand Hungarian history and society.
