The InterContinental is a 5-star luxurious property that enjoys a superb location overlooking the Victoria Harbor. Hong Kong is packed with world-class hotels but what set The InterContinental apart from the others are its location and the superb view from the rooms. This hotel is very close to the business, entertainment and the shopping districts in Kowloon. It has more than 500 well-appointed rooms and an award-winning Presidential Suite that is easily the best in Asia. The InterContinental Hong Kong is often billed as a hotel for business travelers but it is an ideal accommodation for families too. However, the steep room rates may create a dent in your pocket.

Located in the Tsim Sha Tsui Area, the InterContinental Hong Kong is virtually on the edge of the famous Victoria Harbor. The famous Star Ferry is at a 10-minute walking distance from the hotel. The Mass Transit Railway (MTR) and the MTR East Rail Link is also within walking distance.

The hotel has 503 guestrooms, which includes 87 suites. Almost ⅔ of the rooms overlook the Victoria Harbor. The other rooms have views of the Pool Terrace or the hotel’s Piazza. There are seven types of rooms starting with the standard guestrooms. These rooms have 37” inch TVs, iPod docking stations, high speed wireless broadband internet, large marble bathrooms with sunken tubs and luxurious stall showers. Room service is available 24/7 along with business and concierge service.

If you are planning to stay here on your next visit to Hong Kong, you should ask the Front Office regarding the location of your room at the time of booking. Do not opt for a backside room or those with side-view. If money is not an issue, you should request for a Harbour view room. These rooms command a premium price but you will get an unforgettable view from the room to keep you company during the stay. If you are a member of the InterContinental Ambassador program, you will receive a guaranteed upgrade.

The Fitness Centre in the hotel is open for 24 hours a day and houses a full range of fitness equipments. The guests can start their day with Tai Chi classes that are held at the Pool Terrace. These are complimentary classes that are held 5 days a week. On Saturday and Sunday mornings, the guests may also enjoy the complimentary yoga classes.
