Morocco is the ultimate destination for those wishing to experience a unique culture. It is a country known for its lavish interior design and decorative buildings. Kasbah Asmaa, a hotel situated in the heart of Midelt, offers all these things and more.

Location of Hotel Kasbah Asmaa

Hotel Kasbah Asmaa

Midelt is a town found in central Morocco, which is in-between two very famous mountain regions, The Middle Atlas and The High Atlas. It is well known for several mines in which multiple minerals are collected. It is also an area used for animal agriculture. Midelt is a big tourist attraction, as it is along the way to the Sahara Desert. Many people will stop here for a few days to experience the town’s antique culture and indulge in a unique stay at the hotel, Kasbah Asmaa. It is indeed the general choice of hotel for people traveling to Midelt.

Beautiful courtyard

Tables and Chairs in the Courtyard

As soon as you set foot on the property, a member of staff will greet you and help you with your luggage. The courtyard in which you must walk through to enter the main building is beautiful and full of exotic plants and native trees. The area is decorated with antique tables and chairs, which you can enjoy when the sun is shining. There is also a little shop to the right of the Hotel entrance, where handmade jewelry is sold for a very reasonable price.

Once you enter the main building, you will be blown away by the amazing architecture and decoration. The walls and floors are covered in beautiful Arabic designs and colorful carpets. All the tables and chairs are unique and have detailed patterns. You will also find a large open fireplace to the left of the reception, which you can enjoy in the winter months. This main room is where you will dine for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It is also home to the hotel bar.

Hotel rooms with unique Moroccan patterns and polite hotel staff

A View from the room

After checking in at the main reception, your bags will be taken to your room by a staff member. All rooms have an ensuite and incredibly comfy double beds. Again, the curtains and bedspreads are covered in unique Moroccan patterns while the walls are full of color. The peaceful surroundings will give you the opportunity to sleep quietly without any distractions.

Most rooms have either a view of the exotic pool or the surrounding Moroccan Desert. Before your stay, be sure to let the hotel staff know what view you would prefer. Each room features a TV, a wardrobe, free Wi-Fi and good air-conditioning for the hot summer days. Prices vary depending on the time of year. For a single room, prices are usually in-between 52 - 55 USD a night. However, during the winter months, this cost may be reduced.

All of the staff are incredibly polite and will help you with any questions. Most of them speak English or French as well as their native Arabic language. Ask one of the staff to give you a history lesson on the hotel – it is very interesting! They will always help you with your luggage and anything else you need assistance with. It is important in Morocco to tip the staff for good service!

Look forward to a gourmet buffet breakfast!

The Breakfast Buffet

Enjoy a gourmet buffet breakfast in the morning consisting of Moroccan pancakes, olive oil, omelets and many other delicious traditional foods. Breakfast runs from 6am – 11am in the morning.

Enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal

A Traditional Moroccan Meal

During the evening, most guests head down to the lobby to enjoy a traditional 3-course Moroccan meal. In this country, most people have a large appetite, so if you do not wish to eat big amount of food, be sure to let the staff know. Meals often start with a hot salad, vegetable soup or an omelet. This is then followed by couscous or tagine and finished with a Moroccan sweet. Meals can be accompanied by a bottle of local red wine. I highly recommend the hot salad and the couscous! Both meals are delicious with a very authentic taste. The cost of a 3-course meal is around 15 - 20 USD. Room service is available if you do not wish to eat in the lobby.

You will also find a bar in the lobby, which serves coffee, tea and alcoholic beverages. This bar is often open early in the morning until late at night. Beverages can be purchased at the bar or you can put the cost onto your hotel bill. Feel free to ask for your drink to be delivered to your room if you wish to be alone.

Swimming pool

There is an amazing swimming pool located at the back of the hotel. This pool is usually used in the summer as during the winter months, temperatures can drop below 0 degrees Celsius! Enjoy the view of Hotel Kasbah Asmaa’s architecture and the surrounding trees while you swim.

Experience a Unique Moroccan Stay

There is free parking in front of the hotel for any tourists who have a car. If not, it can be arranged for a driver to pick you up and take you wherever you would like to go for a reasonable price. Hotel staff can advise you on interesting tourist attractions and good places to eat in the city center. Drivers can also pick you up again from the city or you can take a taxi.

Hotel Kasbah Asmaa is truly a unique place to stay and will give you an authentic experience of the Moroccan culture.
