Great location

Old Town

The Tallink Express Hotel is conveniently located in the hip Kalamaja district on the ferry and cruise ship docks of Tallinn. It is only a 5-minute walk to the Tallink Ferry terminal which will connect you to Helsinki, Finland. It is also only about a 7-minute walk from the entrance of Tallinn’s old town and about a 20-minute walk from the alternative Telliskivi Creative City. Staying in the Tallink Express Hotel will allow you to be close to everything you may want to see, making it perfect for a short stay in Tallinn.

Directly next to the Tallink Express Hotel, you’ll find a Statoil gas station and convenience store, and the interesting Soviet structure Linnahall, which was built for the Moscow Olympics in 1980 (sailing events took place in Tallinn). Linnahall is currently not used and is in disrepair, but if you are interested in architecture, it is an unusual building that’s worth having a wander around. If you walk to the top of Linnahall, you’ll be rewarded with great views of the harbor and a unique perspective of Tallinn’s old town.

Large, well-equipped rooms (from USD 58)

The rooms are bright, clean, and airy, and are surprisingly large for a European hotel. There is ample space to unpack clothes if you opt for a longer stay. The rooms at the Tallink Express Hotel are also appropriate for digital nomads, bloggers, or writers as there is a large desk with a comfortable chair, and fast, free Wi-Fi if you need to catch up on work.

You will look forward to relaxing on the comfortable bed after your Tallinn exploration, which will certainly require a lot of walking on cobblestone streets. The wall-mounted tv is also at a perfect angle to watch from your bed, which is a great way to wind-down before continuing your journey.

The bathrooms are small, but well-equipped and clean. There are towels and complimentary shampoo, soap, and body wash. The hotel is committed to protecting the environment, so towels are only changed by the housekeeper if you leave towels on the floor. This saves on both water and electricity, making the hotel greener.

A family-friendly option with free breakfast

Near the check-in area, there is a children’s play center with tons of toys. Cribs are also available for babies and ours was set up in the room prior to our arrival. If you travel a lot with children, you may know that it is unusual for cribs to be set-up prior to arrival. We really appreciated this touch, as it accommodated for daytime naps or an early bedtime.

The Tallink Express Hotel also offers free breakfast. There is a wide selection for breakfast including cereals, cold cuts, cheeses, yogurt, bread, juice, coffee, and more.

A great hotel in a great location

Tallinn is an enchanting city that is a beautiful place to visit in all seasons. The Tallink Express Hotel is in a perfect location to see several parts of the city or to continue your onward journey to Helsinki via the Tallink Ferry. Book your room today to stay near the many attractions that Tallinn has to offer.
