The Pirate Haus Inn is a family friendly budget accommodation run by Captain Conrad and his family. It all started from Conrad’s passion for travel and learning foreign languages. With his ability to speak French and Dutch fluently, Conrad has traveled to many countries and after spending years working overseas, he decided to come back home to the USA. The opportunity arose to buy and maintain the Pirate Haus Inn from the previous owners, so he jumped at the opportunity. What makes him really passionate to get up early every morning is the chance to meet new travelers, share stories, and make them pancakes and coffee for breakfast. Captain Conrad is committed to keeping the inn affordable for any travelers who visit St Augustine.

Simple. Affordable. Inspiring.

Map Room at Pirate Haus Inn

With 6 individually themed rooms including a jungle, trees, a map, pirates, tropical fish, and Captain’s quarters (all with their own private bathroom), Conrad wanted to inspire his customers through the art and details they can find in the room. The little details like a curtain, maps, and murals in Map Room, or the pirate statue and toys in the common room are what makes this accommodation so special. Some of the rooms at the Pirate Haus Inn face the courtyard while the rest face the newly revamped Treasury Street. The guests can also relax, watch TV, and read books in the common room or patio after spending the whole day exploring downtown St Augustine. The rates start from 20 USD/night for a dorm room and 75 USD/night for family room with a maximum occupancy of up to 6 people, including amenities such as a ceiling fan, desk, and mini fridge. The inn is very simple and clean.
