1. Go for a stroll at The Canape Park
The Canape Park is a public garden situated within old city walls, in the middle of Porta Romana and Porta Todi. There used to be three important buildings close to the area where the gardens are today. One was a Benedictine monastery in the east. This place was run by the episcopal seminary until the 19th century and then was occupied by a printing firm.
In the north was the monastery of Santa Chiara, which is said to be found by St. Francis. This spot is now taken by a primary school and a gym. To the south of the gardens were two towers, Torrione del Cassero and Torre Montanara. Torrione del Cassero is now called Torre del Seminario while Torre Montanara is now a bar.
