Museo Ferroviario is located in the former Movement Office, belonging to the railway station. Original antiquities which were once found in the railway station are preserved and give visitors an idea of what was once the station of Villa Mercedes. The highlight of this museum is the scale model of the entire estate, that incorporates the Fénix Mill and workshops which recreate images of the original train station.

This attraction might be of particular interest to the young ones, as they can see features of the train station which existed in the city, many years ago. Tracks have been built and these extend to more than 600 meters (1968.5 feet) in length. This museum serves as a great day out for people of all ages.

3. Parque Costanera Río Quinto

Parque Costanera Río Quinto, in Mercedes, is said to contain the largest area of greenery in the entire city. This is also the site where several sporting activities take place. This park is also known as the “Lake” and has a swimming pool, some soccer fields for people to play football as well as a forest of eucalyptus trees.

With its unbeatable setting, families can enjoy an entire day of sun, outdoor fun, games and shows, here in the park. 4. Museo Nativista Hector Aubert

The Argentine complex of the Museo Nativista Héctor Aubert houses a museum with three auditoriums, a pulpería and a chapel, which prominently features the Virgin of Luján. An interesting feature of this site is the open-air amphitheater, where events are sometimes held. A section of the museum contains one of the most comprehensive collections of carriages and vehicles of traction. Visitors to the museum can also get sight of the bust of Molina Campos, an Argentine illustrator and a painter, famous for his work depicting traditional scenes of Pampa. There are only three of its kind in the world, making it something worthwhile seeing.

Another section of the museum features a complete collection of original agricultural tools, which were used in the 19th century. The open-air amphitheater is where folklore shows are held in their full glory. Traditions are greatly practiced and upheld here and therefore visitors will be able to get a great insight into the culture of Argentina.
